48 - Ellie Joins the Team

Jason Williams looked at Ellie, liking what he saw.

The girl radiated cuteness in every gesture. Even without makeup, her collagen-rich cheeks were more than a match for most women in the world.

If Lily Young was a princess, Sarah Jones was like your first love in high school, and Ellie was the lively and adorable girl next door.

Jason Williams wasn't about to let this beauty slip away.

Meanwhile, Kira also had the idea of taking Ellie in as a younger sister.

Having a sister to share the workload would reduce her pressure by half during the seven days.

Kira was even more eager than Jason Williams at this point.

"You've seen my ability. I can control bee swarms to scout for you, and even help you deal with other teams. My condition is that you have to feed and house me for these seven days," Ellie said, looking at the family bucket.

She wished Jason Williams would hurry up and agree so she could eat a burger.

Jason Williams tapped the table, making Ellie look away from the family bucket. "I'll provide you with food and drink, no problem, but I don't want to partner up."

  "Huh?" Ellie was confused.

Providing food and drink without partnering? Was there such a good thing in the world?

But Jason Williams' next sentence made Ellie realize that there was no such thing as a free lunch.

"Providing food and drink isn't difficult for me, but I only provide for my women. Do you want to become one of my women?"

"Ah!?" Ellie exclaimed, then looked at Kira. "Don't you mind?"

Kira was stunned. "Why would I mind?"

"Aren't you two a couple?" Ellie asked, confused.

Jason Williams and Kira were both so good-looking. They were like a match made in heaven, and their actions were very intimate, clearly a couple.

Kira understood Ellie's confusion and said, "I'm one of his women. If you join, we'll be sisters."

"And I really hope you'll join. Our Hubby is Jason Williams, the number one on the leaderboard. You definitely won't regret your decision today if you join."

"He's your Hubby, not our Hubby," Ellie complained. She hadn't agreed to become Jason Williams' woman yet.

But Ellie was somewhat surprised that Jason Williams was the number one on the leaderboard. No wonder he was so powerful, with the ability to kill her instantly.

Ellie looked at Jason Williams and asked, "How many women do you have?"

Jason Williams was calm and composed, with a hint of regret in his voice. "Right now, there are only seven or eight, but I'll work hard to take in more women in the future…"

  Only seven or eight?

And planning to take in more in the future?

Ellie's eyes widened, and her two cute little cheeks puffed up.

From what Jason Williams was saying, seven or eight was still too few? Wasn't he afraid of wearing himself out?

Ellie crossed her arms and shook her head at Jason Williams. "I don't want to marry a heartbreaker, even if you're handsome."

"That's a shame. We can't team up then," Jason Williams raised an eyebrow at Ellie.

Then Jason Williams pulled the family bucket in front of him, took out a chicken burger and fed it to Kira. "Here, wifey… Let's eat the whole family bucket, not leaving a single piece for her."

"You…" Ellie glared at Jason Williams, sulking.

Kira giggled, knowing Jason Williams' tactic all too well. She was taken in with bread and instant noodles. She wondered how long this bee-controlling beauty could hold out.

So, to cooperate with Jason Williams, Kira took small bites of the burger he fed her.

"Hubby… It's so delicious. This one is spicy. Try this chicken wing."

"Mm, these BBQ wings are cooked just right. Too bad there are only two left. We'll each have one."

Jason Williams and Kira fed each other from the family bucket, eating very slowly the whole time, commenting on the taste of each bite.

Ellie swallowed repeatedly on the side.

She hadn't eaten anything since coming to the copy world. There was a little honey in the beehive, but even the bee swarm didn't have enough for themselves, let alone spare any for her.

The aroma of the fried chicken burgers filled the entire apartment, incredibly rich.

"Ah!" Ellie clearly couldn't resist the temptation of the food and directly reached into the family bucket, grabbed a burger, tore open the packaging, and ate.

Jason Williams and Kira didn't stop her, watching her devour the burger with a smile.

After eating the burger, Ellie completely resigned herself to her fate, looking at Jason Williams.

At least he was handsome enough.

It wasn't too much of a loss for her, except that he was too much of a heartbreaker. Otherwise, she would have agreed to Jason Williams long ago.

After all, who wouldn't want to fall in love with a handsome guy?

Kira also noticed that Ellie was a bit embarrassed, so she sat next to Ellie and asked about her situation.

They introduced themselves and got to know each other.

Ellie held a fried chicken leg in her left hand and drank cola in her right, but her eyes kept looking at Jason Williams from time to time.

"You can't abandon me after we leave the copy world, or I'll be at a huge loss…"

Jason Williams nodded with a smile. "Don't worry. As long as you don't betray me, I won't abandon you."

Ellie felt much more comfortable after hearing Jason Williams say that.

She didn't want to sell her body for a few meals, but if Jason Williams protected her in the future, it wouldn't be too much of a loss.

  Lunchtime passed quickly.

The family bucket had been eaten up by the three of them.

Jason Williams got up and looked at the two women. "Let's go, I'll take you zombie-killing."

The two women didn't object to killing zombies.

Kira wanted to improve her strength and gain combat experience, while Ellie wanted to see Jason Williams' strength and whether he could protect her in the future.

After a simple preparation, Jason Williams and the two women left the apartment.

This time, with Ellie's bee scouting ability, Jason Williams could easily find places with fewer zombies.

Jason Williams basically left it to Kira to deal with the small number of zombies they encountered.

Practicing with low-level zombies was perfect for Kira.

And Jason Williams personally taught Kira how to fight.

  Kira benefited greatly.

These experiences were all combat methods that Jason Williams had summarized from fighting his way up from the bottom. Killing low-level zombies was basically no problem.

Moreover, Kira's Strength, Speed, and Physique attributes were all E+ rank, and her speed reached D- rank after putting on the combat boots.

Even Hank and Joseph didn't have such high attributes.

So, zombies had no chance but to be slaughtered when facing Kira.

After Kira stabbed dozens of zombies to death with her wooden spear, her whole temperament changed a lot.

She looked like a female general, full of heroism.

Ellie, on the other hand, wasn't interested in killing zombies. After shooting two zombies with her wooden bow, she didn't do anything else.

Even when Jason Williams wanted to personally teach her how to fight, she refused.

Her reason was that her ability wasn't suitable for dealing with zombies and she had already given up.

Since she couldn't get into the top ten on the leaderboard anyway, she was just tagging along in this copy world.

It was better to leave the zombies to Jason Williams to solve, which would increase Jason Williams' score and maintain his first-place position.

Jason Williams didn't say anything about this.

  To each their own.

And Ellie's ability wasn't bad either. Jason Williams would be on edge if he had to fight a swarm of bees.

It was just that bee swarms were too ineffective against zombies.
