"Hey Arath. Just so I'm clear, having a child outside of the herd is a big no correct?" I asked rereading Vatarias offering.

It was very different to both Zemellys and Araths as theirs had said they swore themselves to me yet this one says she's offering. I'm guessing there's a difference.

"Of course." My red head almost growled. I mean she had good reason this was not a question I expected to ask at all.

"So if a priestess offered herself to me with the condition I had to give her a child what should I do?" I said trying to word it in a way that wouldn't end in a fight.

Arath tried to answer then stopped. She looked at both the other girls for help but they were equally as confused.

"And she has also said that only she can initiate anything romantic." I added.

This made Arath go quiet and mumble to herself like she was having a silent argument.

"So she basically wants a child at a time of her choosing?" Willow tried to simplify what we were all thinking. "And what about the curse? What happens if you can't provide?"

"I guess so and I honestly don't know. I have nothing saying I am cursed but it's not like I can ask another human about it."

"And do you need this priestess css for any reason?" Willow continued.

Kayalett was staying quiet as Willow asked these questions but I could see the curiosity growing behind her eyes.

"They are his only way of gaining skill points." Arath snarled stomping her hoof and stopping us from going forward. "He needs them so we can't refuse her but why in Raynas name does she want a child?"

"Can you refuse the child part?" Kayalett interjected.

"Or at least force her to be part of the herd before she is allowed to have a child with you?" Willow added.

I sometimes forget Willow use to be a head mare herself and had to deal with situations like this.

"I can try." I replied bringing up Vatarias request and willing the change the girls suggested.

Added condition: Vataria must gain Araths approval into the herd before Lazarus can give her a child.

Seems good enough. Hopefully this makes everyone happy.

"Okay so she now needs Araths permission before anything can happen but she still gets to decide when to initiate anything." I expined getting a new notification before I even finished the sentence.

Vataria is now your priestess of your Pantheon.

Vataria has already had an evocation chosen for her by another god. Would you like to override it?

Umm okay that's new. I mean yes I kind of do, but I'm only going to give her the Primordial option if she wants to be close like the other girls.

  Please pick an evocation:

  Error. Some options are disabled.

  Primordial: 100 skill points.

  Fire: 10 skill points.

More like most are disabled. I'm still going to get the Primordial one if she proves to be faithful.

"Sooooo?" Arath knock me out of my stupor.

"She accepted but if I'm reading this correctly I'm not her first god." I answered my red head.

  "Is she another centaur?"

Now that was a good question. I didn't really have a way of speaking to someone over great distances but there had to be some way I could interact with her. I began to look through my options for skills hoping that when Zemelly gave me some points I could buy it and talk to her.

The girls all started to walk again as we still had a task to accomplish. A few skills came to my attention but a lot of them required me to form a picture in my head of what I wanted to see. Kind of hard when I don't know anything about the person I'm looking for.

Changing tactics I closed my eyes and focused on Vatarias name trying to remember if it's someone I met in passing but nothing came to mind. I was about to ask the girls when I suddenly got very cold.

Opening my eyes I was introduced to the darkness I knew came from the deep sea. The seabed y around my feet but I struggled to see anything past my hands.

I didn't feel like I was underwater so maybe this was a visual thing? Trying to bring up my skills didn't prove fruitful and summoning [Willows devotion] didn't do anything either. I could also breath perfectly fine.

So that eliminates being teleported somewhere so was this some sort of mind spell that took my consciousness somewhere?

Let's go with that for now. It just means my body is still with the girls so I safe at least. A fsh of red in the darkness grabbed my attention but was gone before I could make out any shapes.

And that answers my next question. Was I alone.

"Vataria?" I tried to ask but the words didn't even leave my lips. It was a weird feeling knowing you said something but not hearing any sound.

A fsh of blue came from behind and when I turned around I was face to face with what I could only describe as a very rge water dragon.

Another fsh of blue this time staying on allowed me a proper view of what I was looking at. The light made it hard to determine its true colors and without the ability to speak I couldn't really ask her to give me a more neutral shade.

It was big, easily one of the rgest creatures I've ever seen and I've killed giants before yet there was no hostility in it's demeanor. I mean there didn't seem to be any rules stopping different species from serving a god that wasn't their own so I'm hoping this was my new priestess.

The words bore through my head like a spear driving me to my knees, not said as much as put straight into my mind. The creature in front of me equally in pain as it's head hit the seabed. Red fshed from the tips of all it's tentacles, probably to scare whatever spoke away.

It either didn't listen or didn't care.

Again the voice tried to drive me further into the ground. Whatever it was it wasn't the water dragon in front of me and sure as hell wasn't friendly.

This time I nded on my hands. The weight of the words alone forcing me down. Trying to stand back up felt like I was lifting a mountain up with me.

Tentacles from the creature in front of me wrapped around the space besides me in a circle and began to fsh yellow but whatever it was suppose to do didn't help much. I growled internally forcing whatever was weighing on my body away and stood back up, only to freeze.

Deep within the boundary of the sea we were in a face of the same species as the water dragon besides me gazed back with the same red lights on the end of it's tentacles, only this one made both of us look like ants.

Size alone wasn't the only difference between this one and the one now behind me as where the presumed Vataria had scales that helped the water flow off her this on was all spikes and armor.

Every part of my body locked up and the feeling of helplessness decided to make itself at home in my stomach. What in the ever loving hell was I suppose to do about this thing?

  Nothing. It was that simple.

There was nothing I could do, no attack that would faze it, no weapon that could scratch it. And to top it all off it knew that fact without question.

The water around me shattered like gss and I opened my real eyes to find myself sitting in front of a fire drenched in sweat.

"He's awake!" I heard Willow shout just before Kayalett was by my side waving one of her hands over my face with a green glow.

  "He's okay. At least physically."

I pushed her hand away and got to my feet. The sun was very close to the horizon so I must have been there for a lot longer than it felt. A fire was built out of a pit with stones encircling it with a rge tarp strung up between some trees to give us some cover in case it rained.

"I'm fine." I lied. My hands were shaking and no matter how much I tried I couldn't stop them. I needed a distraction.

"Hey Willow do you want to shoot some targets with me? Hopefully we can get you some skill points before we reach the dungeon." I asked not really giving her a choice as I was already heading towards the nearest tree.

I could hear the mares hoof steps behind me so I knew she was following. Trying to bunch my hands into fists briefly didn't stop them shaking at all, there was no way the girls didn't notice.

Summoning my give I took a breath then tried my best to carve a target into the trunk of the tree. It wasn't perfect but would serve it's purpose.

"Now just try and hit the center three times in a row. If you can do that go back a meter and do it again." I instructed Willow noting the other two just behind her giving me odd looks.

"Okay." She responded giving Arath a gnce before she drew her bow and notched an arrow.

I got out of the way, picking a different tree a little ways off to do my own training. Well not training more I needed to hit something to try and get rid of the lingering feeling. The face in the water came to the front of my mind and I shook my head to try and get rid of it.

This is why we're going to the dungeon. Need to get stronger. A rule I always use to follow back in the world I was summoned to was to always think there was something out there stronger than you were. It helped focus my training and stop the arrogance other people had from getting to me. For the most part at least. This was just proof that even as a god I wasn't top of the metaphorical food chain.

Taking a stance with the give held in both hands I struck the tree dead center. Attempting to do the same thing again I struck a little to the left, my hand wavering slightly. Biting my lip I tried again only for a hand to stop my weapon.

"Lazarus you need to talk to us." Arath urged while holding the give. Kayalett was also besides her.

I let out a sigh. She was right but where do I start?
