Pure Contradiction

The silence that hung in the Operations Center was pierced only by the steady, low hum of the CHBM and the persistent, synthesized confidence of the AI's final verdict: 99.9% Probability.

?For Doctor Marcus and Professor Nicholas, the Great Attractor had been a concept—a massive gravitational anomaly governing the movement of countless galaxies. For them, seeing it—or its image—encapsulated within a seemingly simple crystal meant rewriting the laws of physics.

?Doctor Marcus, after a few more seconds of silence, said:

"We need to widen the aperture, ensure maximum calibrated clarity, and immediately switch the CHBM to panoramic mode."

?Professor Nicholas did not answer Doctor Marcus.

  ?Professor Nicholas gave the command:

"Nova, an additional five percent power. Activate panoramic expansion."

  ?Nova (AI voice, dispassionately) replied:

"Executing. Lens performance increased by an additional 5%. Total power is at 12% of nominal capacity. Launching panoramic spectral projection mode..."

?A moment later, a static moiré grid appeared on the screen, and immediately after, a magnificent panorama of the cosmos opened before them.

?Liam and William sprang from their chairs as if burned.

?Doctor Marcus, staring at the screen, whispered:

The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.

"How... it’s a pure contradiction! How is this possible?!"

?Nicholas, trying to explain what he saw to his own brain, muttered under his breath:

"Either this... this is an old holographic projection... or it’s... or it’s a spatial model that defies the laws of physics..."

?"No, Nicholas," Doctor Marcus countered firmly, his eyes fixed on the screen. "I see it clearly: I see stars, I see entire constellations, I see galaxies! Every one of them in absolute, unbearable sharpness!"

?As if hearing no one else, he turned to Nova:

"Nova, perform a spectral analysis. What is the nature of the reflected structure? And immediately initiate an isotope analysis. Determine the age of this crystal with maximum concordance."

?Nova (AI voice, steady and dispassionate) replied:

"Performing spectral analysis... Result: The projection is not a static panorama. It is a dynamic interactive simulation or an open spectral portal into space. Request for isotope analysis... Rejected. The object does not yield to standard radioisotope dating. This crystalline structure demonstrates zero decay. It exists beyond the limits of time itself."

?Doctor Marcus, turning pale, addressed Nova:

"Nova, that’s an error! It’s a data glitch! Initiate full data verification. Re-consolidate spectral and isotope analysis results immediately."

  ?Nova (AI voice, dispassionately) replied:

"Re-consolidation is inadvisable. The probability of the output data is 99.9%. Re-analysis is irrelevant, as parameterization has reached the maximum limit of certainty. The results are concordant."

?Nicholas, as if struck by an epiphany, looked up from the screen and turned to his colleague:

"Marcus, I... I think we must immediately notify NASA headquarters!"

?"You know what that will lead to, Nicholas," Doctor Marcus’s voice became low and strained, his eyes never leaving the screen. "You will regret it for the rest of your days. Look! Before us is absolute illogic, a pure miracle that we have pursued our entire conscious existence! This is that higher calling for which we renounced everything, for which we sacrificed our families... and... and normal relationships with our own sons!"

?"Yes, Marcus," Nicholas exhaled, as if shedding a heavy burden. "For this, one could sacrifice even a career!"
