CHP 159: HIS FATED

Instantly, Jin Yu shifted his gaze to Rong Yue, who was also looking at Seer.

"Yes?" Rong Yue answered, not noticing anything off.

Jin Yu almost slapped Rong Yue in the face.

Motherfucker, I am Jin Yu, why are you answering?, Now I got bursted.

Jin Yu looked at Seer again. As if his cover was not just blown away, he asked.

"Does friend also recognize Young master Jin?"

Seer let his gaze linger on him and simply replied. "Yes."

his gaze never breaking from Jin Yu's.

Jin Yu nodded and looked at Rong Yue.

"So, what are you doing in this City brother Jin?"

Rong Yue could instantly tell that something was wrong between the two, but he couldn't place his hand on it.

Pushing it to the back of his mind, he looked at Jin Yu, more confident than before.

  "Just.. experiencing life."

"Oooh" Jin Yu nodded in understanding.

"Yes, and it seems City of Vled is not as welcoming as I expected." Rong Yue gave the City Lord a fleeting glance.

"I see, it must be because they are blind and cannot see who stands before them, how about we go show them how lucky they are to have you in their land?." Jin Yu said calculatedly, throwing out a bait.

You dare assume an identity without knowing the dangers attached, you are surely tired of living.

"Hmm, I would have if someone had not insulted this Young Lord's dignity." He gave the City Lord another fleeting, unfriendly glance.

"Who dares insult my brother?!, do they want their head on a platter?!, What insolence!" Jin Yu said angrily.

"Hmm" Rong Yue nodded in agreement.

Jin Yu smiled and spoke appeasingly.

"Don't bother yourself with irrelevant people my brother, there is something I need to show you in the City."

Jin Yu didn't wait for his reply, he grabbed Rong Yue by the arm and dragged him out.

But the City lord didn't let them take a step before stopping them.

"And where are you rushing to little ones?"

"And why do you want to know, Old One?" Jin Yu shot back immediately without an ounce of courtesy.

  Silence........

The City Lord stared at him calmly, without a word.

Jin Yu met her gaze without fear.

Why are this deities so emotionless though?

This old thing is still better, Uncle Lin has never given me a single point before. As if his heart was made of stone.

  No emotions at all!.

No worries, I just need to try harder.

He thought in determination and spoke.

"I will like to see what is so special about this..." disdain laced his eyes. "... broken City that made some people so arrogant, any problem with that?" He asked provocatively.

It's been quite long I absorbed hostile energy, I pray she attacks me, my progress bar would spike up.

  He thought, a little excited.

The City Lord didn't react as he expected, she completely ignored him, shifting her gaze back to her tea before speaking.

"Young Master Jin, I hope you wait till the Jin brothers arrive, lest things get awry."

Rong Yue's expression changed, but it wasn't only his, Jin Yu's too.

  He was alarmed.

  The Jin brothers?!

  Aren't those my father's men?

He looked at Rong Yue and asked to confirm.

  "The Jin Dark Army?"

"Yes." Rong Yue replied indifferently and walked out of the room.

  Jin Yu mind ran amok.

Fuck!, this will ruin my plan!.

He glared at the City Lord in spite.

This hag must have invited them because she suspected that imposter. So annoying.

The City Lord outright ignored him.

Seeing Jin Yu's anger, Seer smiled.

  'Cute'

  He thought in amusement.

Jin Yu barged out of the room, going after Rong Yue.

I need a new plan, I can't let him off easily.

The instant Jin Yu left the room, Seer's smile vanished.

The switch was so fast that the City Lord froze mid-motion.

She wasn't looking at him, but the sudden stillness in the air caught her off guard.

  Slowly, she raised her eyes.

  Her gaze met Seer's.

Cold, indifferent and emotionless was his gaze.

Both stared at each other, unblinking.

An invisible clash of Will erupted in the air, though unseen, it felt as if a slight twitch will reduce both party to nothing.

Seer's cold, mechanical voice rang out.

"Were you going to attack him, Yin Lei?"

The City lord's expression didn't change but her aura trembled slightly.

"Who are you?" She questioned gravely.

Seer bone chilling eyes continued staring at her, then in a slow, refined manner, he stood up.

Such gentle movement, yet the invisible tension in the air crackled menacingly.

The City Lord, Yin Lei, felt like a whole world was pressing down on her, and would crush her to nothing if she showed any sign of weakness.

Without another word, she tried standing up, albeit difficultly.

Though it felt like her body will crumble if she stood up to him, she knew it was all in her mind, and not physical.

But still, if she were to make the grave mistake of giving in, then she is eternally doomed, as such clash between powerful beigns is a terrifying bane.

Whoever succumbed to the other will never rise above the person, but forever beneath in terms of cultivation.

It took her a while, but Yin Lei stood up until her back straightened.

The invisible clash in the room instantly cracked and bursted apart, dissipating into nothing.

Seer raised a brow, but unsurprised.

As if he finally confirmed she was worthy of his answer, he walked closer to her, till there was only a few meters between them.

"Who am I?" He asked her, staring straight into her eyes as if the question itself was funny.

In a soft, quiet voice, he answered his own question. " I...am His Fated."

Such casual word, yet incomparably Possessive, as if he was ready to burn the whole World if anyone has thoughts on Jin Yu.

  Yin Lei unconsciously swallowed.

She almost shivered as it felt like her Soul was suddenly plunged in frost.

Without another word, Seer walked out of the room.

As he stepped out, his chair and tea set disappeared.

Even after he left, the chill in Yin Lei's soul didn't reduce.

  ---

In the City, Jin Yu caught up with Rong Yue who was walking with unfaltering gait towards a crowded part of the City.

"You have somewhere in mind?" Jin Yu asked, stepping beside him.

  "I have an unfinished business."

He replied, walking a tad faster.

"Okay" Jin Yu didn't bother stopping him, his first plan had fell through, he was thinking of another perfect one.

How do I make this fucker Jin Yu?

I could just announce that to everyone, but what about me? Poison valley recognize my face.

They walked for a few minutes until they reached a dome-shaped black building.

If not for it's refined appearance, Jin Yu would have called it an Igloo.

It was peaceful, with little activity, but beigns of various kinds could be seen walking in and out, holding different colors of Orbs. Even species that Jin Yu had never seen before.

What is this place?. He wondered as they stepped inside.

  Huh?

His brow involuntarily furrowed as he felt a presence in the air that made him uncomfortable.

So he looked around the interior. There were beigns going on about their own but none of them was giving him the feeling.

Is there a powerful person here?

He wondered and looked at Rong Yue, but noticed that he didn't seemed bothered in any way.

Am I the only one feeling uncomfortable?.

He wondered again as he saw that every one in the room, though had varying expression, didn't seem uncomfortable.

  Don't tell me...

His steps suddenly faltered, brow even more furrowed.

Does a powerful being has their sight on me?

Rong Yue ahead, noticed him deep in thought and spoke. "You wait here." And walked deep into the building.

  "Hmm." Jin Yu unconsciously agreed.

This has never happened before. He thought.

No matter how hostile the person may be, the system always deal with them, but why do I feel so restless?.

  Hey system, are you glitching?.

  Ding!

  'No.'

Jin Yu almost cursed at the curt reply, but refrained.

Then why are you not devouring the hostile energy if you are not glitching?

  Ding!

  'No hostile energy detected.'

You lying bitch, just confess already that the person is powerful than you!

  DING!

The ding rang out louder and sharper than usual, like it was trying to burst his eardrum.

A cold, mechanical voice rang out.

'The Dominion System is Above this Low, Filthy Realm, no being in it is powerful than the System!'

Jin Yu mouth opened involuntarily, speechless.

  "Serious-"

  The cold voice cut in.

'Perhaps host should increase his influence and stop getting bothered by lower beigns too often.'

Jin Yu exploded from anger. "You Motherfucker!, how dare-"

  Another cut-in.

  'Stop dirtying the System too'

  Jin Yu almost lost it.

The insult unexpectedly cut deeper than he expected, as if something within him was unwilling to be looked down upon.

He grabbed his hair in Fury and cursed out, his eyes turning a deep shade of Red. "You Little Shit!"

He grabbed his hair tighter, suddenly Craving Destruction.

He closed his eyes, trying to hold on to what remained of his sanity.

  "What is wrong?"

A voice made him snap his eyes open.

A Young Lady of another race stood in front of him, looking at him with concern.

But the moment she saw his deep, crimson eyes, she froze, her breath hitched and her face turned pale, a single bead of sweat rolled down her pale face, and for one terrifying moment, her heart ceased to beat.

She stood there trembling, unable to speak or move,

  Ding!

  Dominion recognized.

Reward: 1 Dominion Point: (Control an alternate being for 1 minute)

Jin Yu blinked, and the Red vanished.

Regaining his sanity, he stared at the terror-stricken lady and frowned.

  What just happened?

He wondered, walking out of the building.

From behind a pillar in the building, a Young Girl in Black Robe stepped out , her void-like pitch-black eyes staring at the leaving Jin Yu.

Moments later, she blinked, and the black in her eyes vanished, as if it was never there.

But she still didn't stop staring, even after Jin Yu left.

Slowly, her lips stretched into a smile, one that didn't reach her eyes.

  "You are alive."

  She muttered, her stare unbroken.
