Chapter 40. The Final Path
The fire flared up, and amidst the rising sparks, a shadow emerged. Beligor’s figure seemed to materialize from the darkness itself, his white eyes shimmering, his voice echoing as if from a great distance.
— The road… — he whispered.
The half-blood sprang to her feet, her heart pounding.

— Where is it? — Leonel asked, gripping the hilt of his sword.
Beligor slowly raised his hand and pointed into the distance, toward the mountain peaks hidden beyond the horizon.
— Go to the Lost City. There, your journey will begin.
His image began to fade, dissolving into golden and dark particles, as if light and shadow were struggling for his soul.
— Beligor! — the half-blood took a step forward, but he only shook his head.
— Farewell… and remember… — his voice faded, — this is not the end.
The shadows dissipated, and the wind carried away his final words.
Leonel exhaled slowly.
— Then we head for the mountains.
No one answered. They all understood—this journey would change their fates forever.
