Chapter 2

As I said last time, 2500 mana is a lot. Average humans only have about 100, while even warrior mages at the royal castle only have 1000.

Chapter 2, let me know any errors or other problems. Thank you!

  ************************************************************************************************************************

I was nearing the city that I was close to. It was a pretty large village, but a city in this world is identified as less than 1/2 of New York. It had very tall stone walls guarding it, with guards patrolling the top of it. As I looked up I saw 4 guards at the gate, and estimated over 15 on the walls. However, when I was very close to the gate, I heard a growl in a bush nearby. And then, a scream.

I rushed over towards the sound and saw a young girl that looked to be not even 15 being intimidated by wolves. I made a small circle and shot it towards the first wolf I saw. Then, I repeated that until they were all dead.

When they were dead, I looked around to make sure everything was fine. I looked up to the trees and found myself blinded by the blazing sun, so I looked back down at the girl. The girl looked petrified.

"Y-y-y-you killed the wolves?!" The girl asked.

"I did, I don't mean any harm. You even even have what's left of the corpses if you want. The city is behind us, so make sure to get there soon." I said.

"I don't have any money. I can't get inside of the city."

Sighing, I nodded and made a motion for her to follow. I asked Andy to add 500 platinum coins, 5,000 gold coins, 50,000 silver coins, and 500,000 copper coins to my inventory. 1 copper coin was $1 in United States Dollar, 10 for $10, 1 silver for $100, 10 for $1,000, 1 gold for $10,000, 10 gold for $100,000 and lastly 1 platinum for $1,000,000. It was a fine system, and every 100 of each coin brought life to a new coin. Only very big deals use platinum, so it's not used much.

We walked towards the gate, and started a conversation.

"What's your name? I'm Evelyn... uh, Evelyn Celyn... yeah, Evelyn Celyn," she asked while going from a smile, to a thoughtful expression, and back to a smile.

I was confused for a moment, but I'd guess she's hiding it for now. Oh well.

"I'm Robert. Nice to meet you," I said.

After introductions, and a conversation of about 5 sentences, we came upon the gate.

"Halt for the glory of the King of Erstonia! To pass, you must pay 5 silver coins! You must also consent to a search of your belongings and yourself!" The guard in the middle said.

"I'll pay 100 silver coins to not be searched and for my companion to not be searched," I said. I don't know what she has on her, so I might as well.

"Fine. Pay up or else. Nice whore you got there," the guard said with a snicker.

I realize I just met this lady, however, I have a feeling we'll be spending some 'quality time' in the future. I got a bit angry and made a circle big enough for the whole gate. The white light was now red and I poured my magic into it. Well, the douche-guard was no more. Why he said that, I have no idea.

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

I realized I broke the gate, the wall opposite of the gate, and the ground a little bit. I dropped 5 gold coins for the damage, it should be my payment. WIth that, I entered Torrine.

[Somewhere high above the clouds, the World God's POV]

Hehehe, this should be a very interesting time! I guess after eons of waiting something interesting does happen! Oh, I cannot wait to see what path this god-capable person will take! I thought with a major grin on my face.

I watched Robert through a PortaView spell, which allows me to watch anyone anywhere. It's a level 5 spell, being a top-tier spell with insane magic cost and maintenance.

I wonder what would happen if I went down there to talk to him. Maybe he would kill me. I mean I believe with a few words he had the capabilities for it.

  [Robert Jackson's Point of View]

  I was exhausted.

Not from the annoyance of the guards, but it was close. The spell cost was over 1250 mana. My brain hurts and I want to sleep.

I entered the city and went to the nearest inn I saw, named the Golden Inn, and apparently it's the best in town. I walk into it and greet the receptionist.

"Hello sir, how can I help you today?" I was asked by the receptionist.

"I'm in need of a room. How much for 6 years?" I said. I know that dragons sleep very long, so I had to take the chance I would be gone for a while.

"6 y-years?! Uh, 1 day is 1 silver, so um... Maybe 5 platinum coins? I'm sorry sir I can't do that very well. But please give me 5 platinum coins and I'll give your free rooms whenever you'd like."

"Okay, here you go," I said and I tossed 5 platinum coins towards her. The receptionist was a slender and pale girl, looking less than 19 years old. She wasn't really my type, but her facial features look that of a 16 year old girl.

I left towards my room in a hurry. I opened the door to room 2 and saw the two beds, with a bathroom in the corner and two shelves. I flopped onto the white bed and fell asleep.

  ***

I woke up to a new roof. The roof was dark-looking wood, and the walls were beige, and the floor was dark-looking wood. It was the same for the 3 story building top to bottom.

Beside me was a sleeping Evelyn, who looked much older. I have no idea how long I slept for, so I woke Evelyn.

"Eh, who's there? Uh, wait, is that you Robert? Oh my gods, Robert!" I was brought into a bear hug. I'm being strangled.

  "L... let... go..."

  "Eh? Okay, but why?"

I caught up with my breathing and said, "You almost suffocated me. How long was my nap?"

She had tears in her eyes. Just meeting me, I had no idea why.

"I'm so sorry. You were gone for 3 years! Is 3 years your definition of a nap?!"

  "Well yeah, I'm a dragon."

  "Y-you're a what? I heard that wrong, didn't I? Say again please?"

  "I'm a dragon."

"Huuh?! But you look like a human!"

  "I can change forms."

  "Prove it."

  "Eh?!"

  "Prove you're a dragon!"

I stood up, broke the window, and jumped outside. The air was nice today. The blazing sun hitting my skin, and the sky was clear as it was when I went to sleep. I sighed and transformed into my dragon form.

My dragon form was all black. With it, I looked like a darkness dragon. I mean, come on, am I that bad?

I took a look at my statistics while mentally crying about my color.
