33. Two Faces To Every Person.

As soon as the zipper was closed the entire classroom let out a heavy sigh. I also got many interested looks from parents. Even some students were looking at me with interest, the others with only a look of regret.

Somebody in this class must have put the snake in my desk. They wanted to see me get embarrassed in front of everybody. However it did seem like a snake was too much for that.

And how did they move the snake?

They must have fed it so it would become more docile, and it was alerted by the sound of the bell.

I would have to look for the culprit later.

I stood up, and gently swung my backpack across my pack.

I was then approached by Bell, with her parents close behind.

“How did you do that?” She asked.

“Didn’t you see… It wasn’t exactly out of sight.” I replied while paying no mind to the many eyes including Bell’s parents.

“Not that, geez, how were you able to stay calm?” She asked again.

“Isn't it easy?” I asked in response.

“How?” Bell yelped out in surprise before covering her mouth.

“Would losing my calm make the situation better?” I answered.

“That doesn’t explain… Just because you want to stay calm doesn’t mean you can force yourself.” Bell replied quickly like it was obvious.

  “It’s just a snake.” I replied.

“Snakes can be deadly.” Bell responded.

“It’s just a garden snake, not poisonous.” I responded.

After letting out a sigh, “You can still get a bite which can injure you greatly, and spread diseases.”

  “So?” I said nonchalantly.

Bell’s father chose this time to interrupt. “It isn’t normal for a kid your age to be composed in front of any kind of snake.”

“Comparing me to ordinary people my age is useless.” I responded.

Bell’s Father responded angrily, “Age is useless, not just anyone can ignore the fear of death.”

  “So?” I replied.

Once it was obvious there would be no understanding between us the conversation halted.

I continued walking toward the front of the class.

“I will need to excuse myself to deal with this. I assume that is okay?” I said while pointing to my bag. The teacher just slowly nodded.

At that moment the door slammed open, leading two large men was a girl about my age.

The girl, who was above average in looks, was wearing our school’s uniform. The two large men were in police uniforms.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

“It was him, officer.” She said while pointing at me. “He was the one who sexually assaulted me.”

A shiver went through the room. Many cold eyes found themselves staring without forgiveness.

I however had never seen the girl in my life.

Before the initial shock was over there were two people standing in between myself and the policemen.

“Azure would never do such a thing.”

“You are wrong, Azure is innocent.”

It was Abby and Kaede respectfully.

Seeing them stand up for me was heartwarming.

However if I got lost in my feelings I would definitely fall victim to some scheme.

I immediately activated my power on the three intruders. The two men were in fact policemen. However, the girl was sinful. I already pretty much knew what was going on, but I searched anyway.

  {I was paid to accuse someone of sexual assault}

I dug deeper into the memory.

“You have to remember, random girl, I have eyes that see through you.” I said, trying to bait a reaction.

The girl flinched instinctively, but covered it up with a look of fear.

“What are you talking about, we will need you to come with us for our investigation.” One of the two officers said.

“He didn’t do it, you don’t know what he is like. You haven’t seen what he does when he sees injustice, he has a hate for assault that you don’t know.” Abby said.

“Doesn’t matter, we still have to take him for investigation.” One of them responded.

“Don’t act like you don’t know what's going on. Johnny paid you to falsely accuse me. The notification came yesterday evening at 8:13 PM. He paid you exactly $3,500, working for $15 an hour, 8 hours a day, that would take just about a month. You made quite the deal didn’t you?.” I said with absolute confidence.

“What are you talking about?” the girl said.

At this point Kaede and Abby’s parents showed up behind me. They looked at me curiously, but also suspiciously.

“Abby come back over here, you can’t get in the way of law enforcement.” Both of Abby’s parents said.

“No, Azure didn’t do it. She is falsely accusing him.” Abby replied.

  “ABBY, NOW.” Abby’s Father yelled.

While Abby was arguing, Kaede’s parents started a different conversation.

  “What is going on?”

  “Please tell us?”

Kaede’s parents took a more conservative approach.

“This is Azure, I told you about him. He is being falsely accused, we need to help him.” Kaede responded

The thought came over me that Kaede just talked about me with anyone and everyone she met. It felt slightly weird to think about.

“Are you sure? This is serious.” Kaede’s father said.

“Completely, Azure is innocent.” Kaede responded with full confidence.

“We can’t interfere too much, the law will do him right.” Kaede’s father responded.

“Boy, where is your father?” He asked me suddenly.

  “Not here.” I responded.

“Then what is his phone number, I will give him a call.” He went even further.

“He doesn’t care… Kaede tell Mr. and Mrs. Drake that I won’t be able to come in for a while.” I said and then before waiting for a response walked forward past the two girls.

“I am willing to cooperate within the law, I should just remind you to do the same.” I said to the two officers.

“Cocky boy, we will have to investigate your bag, place it on the ground.” They said.

While placing the bag on the ground I said, “You should be cautious inside the bag-”

“Shut up boy, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.” They responded and went to pick up the bag.

An apprehensive sigh went through the room. One of the officers opened the bag before quickly dropping it.

  “S-snake.” He said in surprise.

  Both officers jumped back quickly.

I rushed towards the bag and quickly zipped it up again. Luckily everything went well and I didn’t get any holes in my hands.

“Why do you have a snake in your bag?” One officer said a little more politely.

“Someone placed a snake in my desk, I was going to take it away to animal control when you came.” I replied.

“Shall we go?” I said while nonchalantly swinging the bag over my back.
