41. That depends on your performance.

Kaede looked up at me, her face red with tears that created small rivers on her face. I gently wiped away her tears with my thumb.

“That’s right. You won’t be alone if I am there.” She repeated with a look of peace on her face.

She slowly regained some confidence, and the mood was peaceful with a hopeful outlook.

Until, “What are you doing?” Abby asked like she was offended. “Can you not just flirt right in front of me.” And Kaede reacted with an even deeper flush.

“Flirting?” I asked. “Can you not even keep track of the conversation?”

“Are you an idiot? How is that not flirting?” Abby responded.

“What are you talking about?” I asked.

Abby let out a big sigh before responding, “Nothing, don’t worry about it.”

“Do you have anything else you want to ask?” I said.

Neither of them had any more questions so I left them silently.

The rest of the day was passing normally. I would just lay at my desk, ignoring everything around me.

When a specific conversation caught my attention.

“Huh? Are you telling me that because you couldn’t finish your game ‘I’ have to fail my class.”

It was an angry voice. I opened my eyes to look at the situation.

“N-no, n-not at all. The thing is that -um, yes you were kinda supposed to do it yourself. And um- this kind of assignment is better if you do it yourself.” An awkward voice came from a nerdy looking student.

“What the fuck? I told you to do it for me. I won’t have it done in time now. I’m going to fail because of you.” The angry voice was coming from a tall black haired student.

The black haired student then lifted his hand in the air and slapped the face of the nerdy student leaving a red imprint of his hand.

“To compensate for this, you need to pay, don't you?” The angry kid said with an intimidating look on his face.

The nerdy kid was sweating buckets and looking down at the ground. His hand slowly twitched to his pocket.

“What are you doing?” I asked right behind the angry kid.

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

He quickly spun around and tripped over his feet. With a loud thud sound he was suddenly kneeling at my feet. Everybody saw this weird movement, and I was sure it wouldn’t help my reputation.

“What does it mean to you? Aren’t you in the worst position yourself? A rapist.” He said while standing up. His face looked like it would break into laughter any second.

“Once again, I am not a rapist.” I replied. No matter how many times people see the truth, they will not believe it easily.

“Huh, what does this have to do with you? You better get out of my face right now.” He tried to intimidate me, but I had just sat through two weeks of police brutality without flinching.

I stared him straight in the eyes, and let out a sigh, “Boy, you are pissing me off. If you don’t stop treating people like this…” I paused thinking about how to describe what he would go through.

“You're gonna do what? Bark at me?” He said while laughing.

I placed my hand on his shoulder and said eye to eye. “I will break you.”

He started laughing louder and louder. “You? You are going to break me, that is the funniest thing I have heard this week.”

I decided to move forward without mercy.

“You have committed exactly 522 sins. You have stolen cigarettes and alcohol 31 times from 4 different stores.” My mouth flowed into the devilish grin I was known for.

“W-what are you talking about?” He said nervously, his guilt obvious.

“Not only that, but you have taken exactly $739 dollars from 12 different students at this school since the beginning of the semester.” I added on, I was becoming more ruthless than before. My actions seemed the same, but it was definitely more violent.

“Why are you saying this?” The boy in front of me said.

“Because, I told you to stop bullying the people here.” I responded.

“Coming from you? That is rich.” He responded, putting a last struggle to his reputation.

“Exactly coming from me. I still have 465 sins to go over. Unless… you think standing up after kneeling was a mistake.” I said in an arrogant voice. To everyone in the room it sounded like I was getting high on myself, but It was boring for me to act like this.

The sound of a hard thud signified that the buy returned to his knees. He looked up with his hands together and said, “Please forgive me, I can make things right.”

I nodded slowly which made him smile hopefully, “First off, stop the eight illegal activities you are doing. Second, stop the 27 immoral activities you are doing. Third, apologize to the 42 people who deserve an apology from you. Fourth, return all the money you have taken from people.” I said with the utmost confidence.

“But-” He started but I interrupted.

“But what? Do you think I am wrong to stop you? Are you trying to teach me how to do things?” I said with an overbearing demeanor.

He immediately shook his head and said, “Fine, I will do all of it. Just please don’t tell my family or the police.”

“That all depends on your performance.” I responded.

I took an obvious glance towards the kid he just slapped, he looked back at me with fear and… anger? I immediately understood why, but I didn’t give a damn.

The bully kid stood, and immediately rushed to the nerdy kid to start apologizing. He also pulled out his wallet and shoved about a hundred dollars into the kid’s hand.

He apologized over and over again without making excuses, he then looked over at me. I had already taken off my grin and was back at my desk watching him.

I nodded and said, “Acceptable, for now.”

I laid my head back to rest on my desk and continued the rest of the day lazily ignoring most of went on around me.
