“I am the real monster?” Johnny said with a look of confusion.
“Yes.”I replied.
Johnny started to laugh wildly, “How could I possibly be a monster?”
The reason Johnny was a monster all had to do with my power.
After telling Mr. and Mrs. Drake about my power I also told them how they were apparently sinless.
“That’s weird, I have definitely committed some bad things back in the day.” Mr. Drake replied with his hand on his chin.
“That likely means the judgement of a sin is not objective.” Mrs. Drake said intelligently.
“I got that much at least, but I still don’t know what that requirement is.” I answered, and began to recall all the times my power malfunctioned. Actually, It would be wrong to call it malfunction, it was a feature instead.
First were the Drakes, second was Haven, and third was Johnny. The Drakes and Johnny both were sinless, though both admit to having done wrong before. Haven had a sin, that should not be considered a sin. Or Is that just my own bias?
“Do you have any other thoughts about it, Azure?” Mrs. Drake asked.
“Not rea-” I started, but stopped after remembering something.
I had asked the Drakes about their sins before, and their response?
“I’ve got it.” I exclaimed. Both Mr. and Mrs. Drake showed bright smiles at my words.
“What is it? Tell me already?” Mr. Drake broke the mood with his childish acting.
“What determines a person's sins is their guilt.” I said, but then immediately fell into the implications of it.
The Drakes had moved past their sins, that was what turned them into the people they are today.
Johnny, however, had no sins despite his young age. A monster that did not feel guilt for the evil he committed.
Back to reality, I had to respond to Johnny’s question. My plan wouldn’t allow me to slip up.
“You are just a monster.” I replied knowing what was coming.

“Ohh, so you can just call me whatever you want. Were you not the one wanting evidence before accusations?” Johnny replied in an upright tone. If I revealed my power here, he might become suspicious of me.
“So we are requiring evidence before accusations now? Where is yours? You accuse me of crimes, and now you talk about evidence?” I said and purposely made my grin twitch.
Johnny smirked and said, “Since your were arrested for rape, Greta, the one you raped, has not been seen since. That is very suspicious, the person who had a grudge against you just disappears.”
People started whispering around us again, dirty eyes looked at me once again.
“You are such a scammer. Did you forget the main point of your own sentence? I was arrested, how would I be able to do anything to her when in police custody?” I replied.
“You could have gotten out on bail. Or you had an accomplice.” Johnny started questioning me. While his entire argument was stupid, the part about an accomplice was my chance.
“This is why you need to bring evidence before you talk.” I knew full well he already knew almost everything. “I did not get out on bail, or was even offered it.” I replied a little more desperately. I also looked to the bottom right of my vision. A fake proof that I was hiding something.
“Then you must have an accomplice.” Johnny said while his eyes bore into me. Little did he know that he was playing right into my hands.
“W-what are you talking about.” I purposely acted like I was hiding something. It would only work if I kept a mostly uptight demeanor.
“I knew it, you have an accomplice. Who is it?” Johnny said, pressing onward. If I just said their names now it would be too suspicious. Additionally there was another trick I would have to do.
“I-I don’t have an a-accomplice.” I slowly started to break down.
Johnny stood up and rushed toward me and grabbed my shirt. Cheered on by the crowd he started to shake me.
“Who?” Johnny said.
The crowd started to chant, ‘who’ over and over again.
I finally broke my grin and replaced it with a desperate frown. My eyes pleaded for mercy.
“Tracy and Holly don’t have anything to do with this. They are innocent, they are the only people who would talk to someone like me. They also have alibis for the past two weeks, there is no way they could have or would have done something like that.” I said desperately, like I was trying to clear their names.
“Tracy and Holly, huh. I am going to need their last names to investigate them.” Johnny said, but he stared at me with cold eyes.
I hesitated, I can’t push too far.
“Don’t worry, if they are really innocent like you say they won’t be troubled.” Johnny said nicely.
“Do you promise?” I asked, continuing my act.
“Of course, you have my word.” Johnny said reliably to everyone around us.
“Okay, it's Tracy Jackson, and Holly Gosdan.” I said before awkwardly falling to my knees. I pretended to get up with my last bit of dignity and walk out of the room.
Plan Success.
Johnny would investigate Tracy and Holly, he wouldn’t be able to tell that they were assaulted by Kurt because of Kurt’s family influence. However, he would still be suspicious of other gaps in their story. He would bring the information in front of everybody again, and I would be able to find them. Additionally this plan had the benefit that Johnny might follow any trail left by Kurt’s family which would not only distract them, but might even start some conflict.
A monster like Johnny was so easily manipulated. I guess it's the kind of situation where you live by the sword, and you die by the sword.
