Wood spikes rush towards the group. Arthur raises his shield up Bulwark of Flame fire explodes outwards from the center of his shield and extends onto his hands and parts of his armor. It burns off all organic matter in the vicinity leaving only dark charred remains behind.
as one man tries to cut himself out of the roots with a knife two almost identical looking archers release a two bolts towards one of the. As the arrows travel one bursts into flames while the other freezes and transforms into ice. Both hit two of the Tree creatures. The ice freezes then shatters the its target while the fire burns its victim up.
The man looks at the damage these two have caused "You really never miss do you?" he whispers in awe.

Maya pushes her hands deep into the ground Stone gauntlet as she lifts them up the earth slowly surrounds her creating Huge gauntlets onto her arms.
She runs forward and with a precise blow she hits. It sends an enemy flying.
A 100 meters from the fight An old man watches the scene unfold. He's tall and he wears a green robe. His hand rests on a staff to support his own weight and the roots run along under the ground towards him in the center.
He raises his hand and strokes his beard "Seems like Ilrenair was right..." he speaks slowly to himself. His voice is raspy and weak which are clear signs of his weakened body.
His grip on his staff tightens and he stomps the ground with it. The roots beneath take this as a sign and start moving in the ground.
The cores of the tree start pulsating and their movements become more erratic.
They start encroaching onto Arthur. He sighs and lifts his sword up Radiant blade
His sword gets enveloped from the handle slowly to the blade with a blinding light and then he lowers it towards the creatures.
The next moment a beam of light is emited from the tip of the blade and it leaves nothing behind.
"Collect the cores" Arthur orders his group while panting slightly from exertion. He slides his sword back into its sheath and he is slowly approaching the group's scout when instead of taking a normal step his feet sinks into the ground. His body is out of balance and he flails his arms around trying to get it back. It only results on him getting a look downwards

The ground opens revealing a gigantic mouth. Its surface is filled with sharp jagged teeth ready to rip apart anything that comes its way. He is falling down into the gaping hole. this cant be D tier
He screams ,maybe in hopes of help or just instinctually, but it is a futile attempt as the creature's mouth begins to close down forever sealing its content.
In a last attempt to save himself Radiant blade
back at the camp dozens of normal soldiers rush trough the portal with a few riftwalkers.
Everyone is surprised at the commotion especially the scientists as they haven't detected anything.
William just leaves the tent and raises an eyebrow at the situation. The soldiers quickly run into the forest and the scientists are asking a person that came with them about what is happening.
William steps closer to hear the conversation "What? They disappeared? that cant be. We didn't detect anything t-there is no way!" the scientist's voice a bit shaky as he realizes he must have made a mistake.
"Who?" William interupts their conversation
The scientist eyes his up and down and then he remembers who this guy is. "members from that Radiant blade guild"
William goes to the blacksmith who is currently packing his things.
"Give me a sword I go after them." William orders the blacksmith
The blacksmith slams a box of daggers down "No way kid! I am not giving weapons to civilians. What makes you think those soldiers aren't sufficient. Its maximum D tier and D tiers can be shot with rifles. Do you even know how to infuse a weapon?" his voice a mixture of anger and slight worry.
"Give me a sword" William repeats himself with a monotone voice.
The Blacksmith takes a deep breath "Fine... Take that one" he points at one sword lying on his stall.
The sword look well made with a balanced structure. Its slightly thicker at the handguard. Its light blueish refined essence blade gleaming in the light.
William lifts it up. Its heavier than expected. "Its not E tier" he whispers to himself
The blacksmith's head snaps up from the boxes again "Did you say something?"
"No, nothing important." the answer comes and William leaves with fast pace.
