Chapter 46: Yu Yao Arrived
Because I've been busy with other things, I haven't had a chance to calm down and focus this semester. The exam is coming up soon, so in order not to be sent back, I can only temporarily try my best.
Ji Xin'an's transformation was the most noticeable to Yao Wenhuo. Watching Ji Xin'an seize every moment, he felt that she somewhat resembled a poor student who never passed an exam, but her grades were right there, making him involuntarily convinced, and yet also curious.
"There are only a few days left, can you still make it?" Yao Wenhuo looked at her brand new book with some concern.
"It doesn't matter if you don't hurry, but if you don't do well on the exam, you'll really be sent back." Ji Xin'an didn't even lift her eyes, still looking at the book in her hand.
Yao Wenhao smiled and handed her his notes, "It's just useless, these are my notes, take them for reference, it's better than just reading your new book."
"Thank you." Ji Xin'an smiled and accepted it, but in fact, she didn't really need these. Her book was already at the tenth level of newness, and Ji Xin'an still had confidence in herself. One reason was that she had learned all this before and had an advantage, and another reason was that although her memory wasn't good enough to be called a "magic tool" in science subjects, it could guarantee her 100% pass rate in liberal arts subjects. However, she accepted Yao Wenhuo's kind intentions.
"Don't be polite with me, we're so familiar already. But no matter how much I help you, it still depends on yourself." Yao Wenhuo joked with a smile.
"I'm fine, don't worry about me." Ji Xin'an lifted her head and saw that he wasn't happy about having one less opponent, but instead came to worry about her, and she couldn't help but feel a little moved.
"That's good." Yao Wen-hao looked at Ji Xin-an with a smile and didn't say anything else.
After the final exam results were posted, Ji Xin let out a sigh of relief. Although her grades had dropped, she still ranked third. However, only Ji Xin herself knew that this time was a narrow escape, and she secretly warned herself that she couldn't do it again next semester. She would study hard for a whole semester, and put everything else on hold until high school.
Just as Ji Xin'an was secretly determined, Yao Wenhuo discovered her and walked over to greet her, looking at her with some surprise. "Ji Xin'an, you really did it, ranking third on the big list like this?"
"You're not even more fierce." Ji Xin'an smiled and glanced at the first name, she wasn't jealous, she was simply cheating now, what qualifications did she have to be jealous of someone who got first place with real skills.
"This isn't because you didn't put your mind to it, or else there wouldn't be a place for me." Yao Wen Hao smiled slightly with an air of nonchalance.
Ji Xin'an saw Yu Yao beside her. This semester, except for morning and evening training, she rarely had time to see her, so she turned her head to look at Yu Yao. "Accompanying your brother to check the grades?"
"I'm here to see my own results." Yu Yao smiled with some complacency.
"Your own? Are you saying you also skipped grades?" Ji Xin'an thought of it as soon as she saw her smiling face.
Yu Yao nodded, and Ji Xinan suddenly felt that life was full of surprises after all. The changes brought about by this little butterfly were quite significant.
Ji Xin'an's second winter vacation and New Year passed relatively quietly.
She has basically finished her own album, and she got another sum of money from Zou Ze. This time, she didn't invest the money in the company again, but took a part of it to give to her family. She and her parents bought a bigger house together, and added many things that her dad and mom had always liked but couldn't afford to buy. She also bought herself a piano that she had been fond of for a long time.
After telling her family about her income and whereabouts, her parents were even more trusting of her after their initial surprise. She didn't put the remaining money in the bank to earn interest because she knew that money was one of the things that depreciated the fastest. Ji Xin'an used the remaining money in her parents' name to invest in real estate, buying some houses that weren't worth much now but would be demolished and rebuilt in a few years.
Managed to rent it out cheaply before Chinese New Year and now waiting for its value to appreciate.
When Ji Xin'an handed over that big pile of house photos to her mother, her mother's expression could be described as exaggerated. "Why did you buy so many houses, and they're not even in good locations? They'll be hard to sell later and won't be worth renting out either."
Ji Xin'an smiled after hearing this, "Who says these have to be sold? None of these houses can be sold. Wait for two or three years when the area is demolished and rebuilt, you'll all get new buildings. About half of them will be commercial properties. By then, you'll just need to collect rent and you can travel all over China."
"It's not as easy as you said, if it were true, others would have been waiting to exchange floors, who would sell so cheaply to you." Mom wouldn't believe it no matter what, but the money was earned by Ji Xianan herself, and although it was spent so easily, her mom generously didn't blame her.
"It doesn't matter, just listen to me and it'll be fine. No matter who comes to find you later, don't sell them no matter how much money they offer." Ji Xin'an smiled as she helped her mother put them away. She knew that before the demolition, there would always be people who knew internal information in advance, buying some houses at a low price and then selling them at a high price after renovation.
"Whatever you say, after all, it's your money that you've earned!" Mom smiled helplessly.
"Mom, what's with this? I'm still your child!" Ji Xin'an said discontentedly, pouting.
Her mother also burst out laughing, she naturally didn't think that after following Ji Xin'an's method every month's rent would be enough for the whole family to live on for several years. So after Ji Xin'an graduated from university, he and his father retired early, the two of them traveling everywhere like backpackers, wherever they went they played happily, staying a few more days when they felt like it, tired then returning home, no longer having to worry about making money.
Things in the company have basically gone on the right track, and Ji Xin'an doesn't need to take care of anything else. As long as he waits at home to receive money, that's enough. So when New Year arrived, Ji Xin'an had a lot of time to play and a lot of money to buy gifts for his family members, using up all the things he hadn't enjoyed before.
The only regret is that I miss my master, it has been a year since we last met, and Ji Xin'an had also asked Guo Rong, but got no answer, and could only wait slowly.
Ji Xin'an 'fell' like this and mixed for a holiday, when school started again, Ji Xin'an was a bit unaccustomed to it.
Returning to that classroom, Ji Xin'an wasn't surprised to see Yu Yao again. Sometimes she would think, "I didn't even offend her in my past life, so why did she pick on me?" In fact, she was just being overly sensitive - the other girl was actually targeting Zou Ze.
The new semester is still as usual, first to assign seats, but this time the first one to come in was Yao Wenhao, he simply sat back in his own place without changing.
When Ji Xianan walked in, he waved at her and said, "Just sit here, it's a hassle to keep switching."
Ji Xin'an also felt that getting along with this deskmate was not bad, so she sat back in her own seat.
Yu Yao, being a skip-level student, didn't have very ideal grades and was placed behind Zou Ze. When she came in, Zou Ze had already sat down in front of Ji Xin An, with an empty seat beside him. She wanted to go over but felt a bit embarrassed.
"Yao Yao, come sit in front of me." Yao Wen Hua beckoned her over again.
Yu Yao smiled and walked over to sit beside Zou Ze, who looked at them with a glance but didn't say anything, tacitly consenting.
Ji Xin'an smiled as she watched this scene, thinking that Yao Wen-hao was really going all out for the sake of his sister.
Then a new semester began, and a strange combination was born. The relationship between the four people was very strange, and when they chatted together, there were often awkward situations.
Yao Wenhao and Zou Ze often don't get along, while Yu Yao wants to ease the tension between them. However, Zou Ze ignores her kindness and only chats enthusiastically with Ji Xin'an. Yao Wenhao, whether intentionally or unintentionally, always joins in on their conversations, so Ji Xin'an plays a bridging role every time they chat, but feels very awkward.
However, human adaptability is very strong, and soon Ji Xin'an got used to this strange way of getting along. And also slowly felt that it was not bad, at least better than the initial dislike.
