Chapter 39: Targeted Operation

  Chapter 39: Target Practice

At night, Ji Xin'an took out her own CDs, tapes, sketch posters, and some photos with masks specially taken by the company, all signed with An Xin's name. The next day, she didn't take them to school, but directly gave them to Yao Wenhuai at the training ground.

"So many? Are they all signed by An Xin himself?" Yao Wenhuo stared at the things in front of him, dumbfounded.

"I'll get help from some relatives and friends. Anyway, signing one is the same as signing a few more." Ji Xin'an looked at him with a frightened expression, but felt happy inside.

"These albums are quite expensive, and these signed photos and posters are priceless. I'll just give you the money instead." Yao Wen-hao looked at the items in his hand, as a loyal fan of An Xin he knew their value, these items with An Xin's personal signature, if sold outside could easily fetch a thousand or eight hundred yuan.

"It doesn't matter if it's expensive or not, I didn't spend any money on these things. If I were to sell them to you, wouldn't that make me a profiteer?" Ji Xin'an smiled and refused his proposal.

"Then I won't be polite with you anymore, thank you." Yao Wenhao was amused by her, but also stopped insisting on giving her money.

"It doesn't matter, as long as you like it." Ji Xin'an smiled and went back to what she was doing.

As he watched Jin Xianan walk away, Yao Wenhao suddenly felt that this was a good opportunity to get closer to her. Although she had just helped him, doing so would be somewhat despicable, but for the sake of his best friend Yu Yao, he could only betray Jin Xianan's trust.

Ji Xin'an was about to leave after changing her clothes and wiping off her sweat when Yao Wenhuo stopped her, "Ji Xin'an, as a thank you for your autograph, I'd like to invite you somewhere this weekend."

"This is nothing, I'm just lending you a hand, it didn't take much effort at all, don't put too much thought into it." Ji Xin'an curled up the corner of his mouth and smiled lightly, really hadn't expected that An Xin would have such charm, enough to make a usually premature and old-fashioned Yao Wenhuang become a crazy fan.

"Then don't mention gratitude, it's as if I invited you to go, and I dare to bet with confidence that this place is absolutely where you want to go most." Yao Wenhao actually still had some rascal potential.

"But I have something to do on the weekend!" Ji Xin thought to herself, what's with this betting thing, but she also felt a little excited. However, she had already promised Song Jiangliang that she would attend the celebration party and tonight's dinner party, and couldn't back out!

"Are you busy for both days?" Yao Wenhuo asked, still not giving up.

"That's all there is, just something on Sunday." Ji Xin'an smiled helplessly, and Yao Wenhuai was indeed a person who wouldn't give up until he achieved his goal.

"Then let's go on Saturday, okay?" Yao Wenhuo's affirmative tone seemed to be making the decision for her rather than seeking her opinion.

Ji Xin'an didn't mind his tone, after all it was out of kindness, so she just nodded in agreement. They made an appointment, and Yao Wen-hao insisted on going to her home to pick her up. Ji Xin'an had no choice but to tell him the address of her home.

On Saturday morning, Ji Xin'an went downstairs and saw Yao Wenhuo wearing a camouflage T-shirt, leaning against his bicycle, looking like he had been waiting for a while.

"Sorry, I didn't know you came so early." Ji Xin'an said as he quickly walked over.

"I just arrived too." Yao Wenhao smiled slightly.

"Wait for me a moment, I'll go get the car." Ji Xin'an also smiled and prepared to get his bicycle.

"Never mind, I'll take you, it's not far anyway, and it will save trouble." Yao Wenhuo patted the back seat of his bicycle.

"No need, I'll ride myself!" Ji Xin'an was somewhat embarrassed.

"What's there to be afraid of? I'm not going to eat you." Yao Wenhuo rode up on his bike, smiling at Ji Xin'an.

Ji Xin'an thought for a moment and didn't insist anymore. She sat down behind him, and Yao Wenhuo set off with her once she was settled in.

What Yao Wen-hao said wasn't far, but he rode with Ji Xin-an for more than half an hour and was already sweating profusely when they arrived, it seems his sense of distance really is a problem.

Ji Xin An handed him a handkerchief from her body. "Is this what you said was nearby?"

Yao Wenhao smiled and wiped the sweat from his face with a handkerchief, "How is it here?"

"What kind of place is this, it looks like a broken warehouse?" Ji Xin'an looked at the house in front of her, which should be an old factory building that had been renovated. The outside was painted with military green paint, and the front door had been replaced, with a remaining space on top that seemed to be for replacing the signboard.

"Wait a minute, I have a surprise for you." As he spoke, he actually pulled out a piece of cloth from his pocket and covered Ji Xinan's eyes. "Don't move, I'll let you take it off when the time comes."

"What's so mysterious?" Ji Xin'an stopped reaching out and smiled in cooperation with him.

"Come with me, I'm going to sell you." Yao Wenhuo pulled her hand and walked slowly forward.

Ji Xin'an didn't ask again and carefully moved forward, feeling that Yao Wenhu had stopped and turned his body around.

"Is it here? Are you ready?" Yao Wenhuo asked softly behind her.

Ji Xin'an felt that this posture was a bit too ambiguous, so she nodded and reached out to take the cloth off her eyes, but he blocked her hand. "I'll do it."

Suddenly, everything in front of her lit up, and Ji Xin'an no longer had the mind to care about Yao Wenhuai's intimate actions just now, because she was stunned by the scene in front of her. Looking around, it took a while for her to come back to her senses. "Is this... a shooting range?"

Yao Wenhao nodded and smiled at Ji Xin'an who was excited.

"How did you find this place?" Ji Xin'an turned his head to look at Yao Wenhuang.

"This is a restaurant opened by one of my father's comrades-in-arms, it hasn't been fully completed yet, so it hasn't started operating externally, only some friends come here, I came to play here two days ago." Yao Wenhao explained with a smile.

"Can you hit the target now?" Ji Xin'an looked at him expectantly.

"I brought you here to shoot guns, let's go get the guns." Yao Wenhao pulled her away to another room.

Ji Xin'an looked at various handguns and rifles, although they were regular military guns, but there were many styles, and he couldn't help but love each one.

Yao Wenhao saw that she had no idea, so he helped her choose two more and took a bunch of bullets to fill out the registration form. Only then did he take Ji Xin'an to the shooting range.

"Have you ever fired a gun?" The two of them loaded their bullets, and Yao Wen-hao looked up at her.

"I've fired once, but there aren't many bullets left." Ji Xin'an said with a regretful expression.

"Real gun?" Yao Wen-hao looked at her in astonishment.

"Ah, August 1st, after getting vaccinated the next day my shoulder was all bruised." Thinking back to that time when it took almost a week to recover, although it was very painful, Ji Xianan still thought it was a pretty good memory.

"These guns don't have as much recoil as the 81, so you can fire at will." Yao Wenhao chuckled and looked at her slender shoulders.

Ji Xin'an smiled and nodded slightly.

The two finished loading the bullets. Yao Wenhao signaled to the staff, and the large indoor shooting range lit up, with the target paper also moving into place.

Yao Wenhao pulled her up to the shooting position, took down the earpiece next to him and handed it to her. Ji Xin'an first picked up a pistol she had never fired before.

Ji Xin'an had only learned the actions of shooting a rifle in a prone position, so the gun in her hand was just for her to get a feel for it. Yao Wen-hao saw this and came over to teach her. He wouldn't be as careful as Zou Wei-guo, who would only demonstrate or verbally instruct certain actions. Instead, Yao Wen-hao directly wrapped his arms around her from behind, with both hands grasping hers, helping her correct her movements.

The distance between them was so close that Ji Xin'an could feel the warmth of his breath on her neck, making her skin itch. Suddenly, she felt that such an action was somewhat inappropriate. Ji Xin'an had always regarded him and Zou Ze as friends, and she hadn't been on guard against boys of their age, but what Yao Wenhuo did today made her think twice.

He struggled free from Yao Wenhao's arm, "Let me try it myself."

Yao Wenhao was pushed open by her, without any embarrassing expression, but just looked at her and said: "Then you hit yourself." His calm appearance made Ji Xinan even feel that she was a bit too worried, maybe he just didn't pay attention to details, and she felt much more relaxed in her heart.

After being corrected by Yao Wenhao, Ji Xin'an took a standard shooting stance and fired several shots. However, due to not being accustomed to the handgun, each shot only hit the 4th or 5th ring.

Ji Xin'an shook her head in dissatisfaction, reloaded and continued to shoot. Yao Wen-hao didn't shoot himself, but helped her reload bullets on the side, but the more he looked, the more surprised he became. The Ji Xin'an he saw earlier could be confirmed as a beginner, but after several clips were fired, her performance was getting better and better.

"Not bad, shall we compare?" Yao Wenhao looked at her as the muzzle of the gun got closer and closer to the red heart, his heart couldn't help but feel a little nervous.

"Alright." Ji Xin'an smiled, she also wanted to see what level of skill Yao Wenhuo had.

"It's no fun just comparing, why don't we make a bet instead!" Yao Wenhao smiled and picked up a fully loaded handgun.

"Go on, bet what you say." Ji Xin'an didn't mind.

"Alright then, let's bet our lunch on it!" Yao Wenhuo said casually, seeing Ji Xin'an nodding in agreement, he began to shoot the bullets towards the target, scoring 92 rings with 10 shots.

Ji Xin'an looked at him in surprise, then looked at her own score, which was a full ten points lower than his. She felt discontented and said, "Let's add them up again."

Yao Wenhao smiled at her mischievous look, "Even if you add them up, they're still no match for me."

But Yao Wenhao's excitement seemed to be a bit premature, as when the bullets had already been exhausted, his score was still around 90, while Ji Xin'an was able to maintain a score of over 95.

Ji Xin looked at him with a pleased smile, "How about it? Admit defeat?"

"You think you're beautiful, let's exchange rifles." Yao Wenhao looked at her pleased and cute appearance, and also smiled.

"Change it if you want, I'm not afraid of you." He said, picking up a rifle beside him.

Ji Xin'an had fought against Ya Wen-hao before, but of course not as skillfully, so it was like the opening of a pistol, but this time she adapted much faster and soon surpassed him after several rounds.

But Yao Wenhao couldn't admit defeat, so they continued to exchange blows, round after round, until they both felt a little hungry. When they looked at the time, they realized that they had been shooting for an entire morning.

Thank you very much 'yingying1979' for the zongzi, it's delicious!
