Chapter 64: The Real Military Gun Hall

Chapter 64: The Real Military Gun Hall

My own utopia has already started construction, but when I can see it fully completed is unknown.

After patiently waiting, Ji Xin'an completed her final exams.

What made Ji Xin'an happy was not the arrival of the holiday, but that he had waited for his master again.

When I met Zou Weiguo again in the training ground, I was still quite surprised. As usual, he hung on his neck like a koala.

"Alright, you're such a big girl now, still throwing tantrums." Zou Weiguo looked at her with amusement, saying so but not pulling his hand back, instead waiting for her to get down herself.

"You're still my apprentice after all, how come you're back now? I thought it would take at least until the new year to see you again." Ji Xin smiled and looked down at Zou Weiguo.

"You little scoundrel, if it weren't for you, I'd have taken two days off and found a good place for you." Zou Weiguo pinched her nose.

"What's a good place? Let's go now?" Ji Xin'an immediately became interested upon hearing this, and the place Zou Weiguo took her to was definitely not wrong.

"You're going like this?" He looked down at Ji Xin'an's clothes, which were drenched in sweat.

"Ah, I'll go change clothes right away, you wait for me." Ji Xin'an immediately jumped up and ran towards the dressing room.

"This kid, at this age, how can she still be like this." Zou Weiguo helplessly smiled and sat down to wait for her.

Ji Xin'an quickly changed into her own clothes and ran out to greet Yao Wenhuang and the others before leaving with Zou Weiguo.

Yao Wenhao hadn't even had a chance to ask her anything before she ran off, and seeing her excited expression made him feel inexplicably uncomfortable.

"Yao Wenhuo, have you really fallen for Ji Xin'an?" Shi Lin asked as she walked up to Yao Wenhuo after seeing Yu Yaoli leave.

"What's it to you if I like him?" Yao Wenhao didn't like her tone.

"Hmph, do you think a great girl like Ji Xin An would really fall for someone like you? Maybe she's only with you because the person she likes isn't around, and you're just a temporary distraction." When Shilin found out that he was actually with Ji Xin An, she couldn't help but feel jealous. Although she knew his initial intentions weren't pure, seeing them together, every glance, every gentle gesture, made her realize that he had genuinely fallen for Ji Xin An, which only fueled her jealousy to a maddening degree.

But when the two of them are together, there's an inexplicable tacit understanding between them that makes others feel superfluous. Shi Lin becomes increasingly mentally unbalanced, until today when she sees Ji Xin'an excitedly leaving with Zou Weiguo, and she thinks she has finally found Ji Xin'an's weakness.

"Don't talk nonsense, An An is not that kind of person, she's with me because she likes me." Yao Wen Hua stared at her, knowing what she meant, but although he was suspicious in his heart, he always didn't want to admit it.

"Hmph, I didn't even say who it was, but you already knew what I meant. Do you dare to say that you've never suspected anything? Even if not, how do you explain her behavior? The two of them are neither relatives nor friends, yet every time they meet, they're so affectionate. It's fine in the past, but this time, under the circumstances that you're already her boyfriend, she didn't even say a word and just followed him away. How can this be explained? Maybe a special girl like Ji Xin'an likes someone who is also out of the ordinary. Perhaps it's this kind of mature and excellent man." Shi Lin sneered with disdain, seemingly looking down on this 'behavior'.

"Xinlin, don't stir up trouble here. Our relationship is good and won't be affected by your careless words making me suspect her. I trust her, and from now on, I don't want to hear you say anything bad about her again." Yao Wenhao was really provoked, clenching his fists to control his emotions. If the other person wasn't a girl, he might have punched them already.

"Brother, Linlin, what's wrong with you two?" Yu Yao walked over in confusion, looking at the two people who were on the verge of drawing their swords.

"It's nothing, we were just talking about how he looked when he first came back, but he seems to dislike this topic." Shilin looked at Yao Wenhuang's angry expression and laughed even harder.

"What's going on with you two? You're my best friends and family, I don't want to see any conflicts between you." Yu Yao said softly, noticing the atmosphere was a bit off.

"How could it be? You're overthinking." Shilin smiled and leaned in close to Yu Yao, holding her hand.

Yao Wenhao glanced at her, hummed and turned to leave. He knew that Shilin was reminding him of his initial approach to Ji Xin'an. Now he really regretted it, regretting the conversation with Shilin back then, and even more so, regretting having thoughts that shouldn't have been there in the first place. If only they had just normally been friends with Ji Xin'an, he believed they would still be together. Why worry about these things every day?

"Brother!" Yu Yao called out, seeing that he didn't even turn his head as he walked away. She was a bit worried. "Ling Ling, what's wrong with my brother?"

"It's none of your business, she's just eating vinegar." Shilin smiled lightly at her worried look.

"Jealous?" Yu Yao looked at her in confusion, then thought of Ji Xin'an and Zou Weiguo walking together earlier, and immediately felt it was impossible. "How is that possible? You guys are really something, thinking nonsense."

"There's nothing impossible in this emotional matter, who can be certain?" He said as he pulled her along with him.

"Ling, don't say such things in the future. An is not that kind of person." Yu Yao was somewhat angry, she didn't want her best friend to become someone who speaks ill of others.

"Fine, I won't say anything else. Let's go quickly." Although she said this out loud, Shilin was secretly seething with jealousy in her heart. She couldn't believe that even Yunyao had been bought over by her in such a short time, and now she might lose this friend too.

Yu Yao smiled and left with her.

On the other hand, Ji Xin'an was completely unaware of this and was still excitedly following Zou Weiguo on the way to the good place he said, "Master, where are you taking me?"

She laughed at her anxious look and said, "You'll know when you get there."

"How did you learn this too?" Ji Xin'an helplessly didn't mention it again, and unexpectedly she turned this big black face into an old naughty child.

"Hmph." Zou Weiguo smiled slightly and stopped talking.

The two came to a place that was not far away. When they arrived here, Ji Xinan always felt very familiar. "Master, is this the Gun Hall?"

"Hmm, quite insightful." Zou Weiguo was surprised for a moment, "However, this is not the kind of ordinary shooting range you'd find outside."

"What are you waiting for? Come on in." Ji Xin'an smiled and pulled him inside.

The two entered the room and found it was indeed different from where she usually went. It was fully equipped with standard military gear.

"This is the newly built indoor shooting range. I originally thought you would be in high school this year, that's why I dared to make a promise. But unexpectedly, you went ahead and skipped grades on your own, making it impossible for me to fulfill my promise. You can't blame me for this." Zou Weiguo said with a seemingly joking tone.

"So that's how it was. I thought you had to wait until I went to high school before letting me go to that outdoor place." Ji Xin'an smiled, apparently she had misunderstood.

"Alright, let's drop it. Go and shoot, from now on you can come here every day to receive professional training." Zou Weiguo looked at her.

Ji Xin'an's eyes lit up like a thieving cat's, "Really, Master? Then I can come here every day and use real guns?"

"Don't be so happy yet, go take a look at what I taught you last time and see if you've forgotten it." Zou Weiguo smiled as he looked at her excited expression, and he couldn't help but feel happy too.

"I won't let you down." Ji Xin'an saw that he didn't put his mind at ease with this one bit.

"It's been so long, you still remember?" Zhou Weiguo was somewhat surprised, he hadn't expected Ji Xin'an to still recall what he had taught her a few years ago.

Ji Xin followed Zou Weiguo into the shooting range with a suspicious gaze.
