Chapter 69: Spatial Rift
"Damn it!" Francis ripped open Lantigua's collar, revealing two small black holes oozing dark blood under her clavicle. The black venom seemed like two black stripes painted on Lantigua's snowy skin, and the tightly wrapped chest emitted an eerie allure.
"Ah!" Landy Gris's face turned bright red as she looked at Francis with shame, now feeling only numbness in her arm, not even having the strength to push Francis away.
"Shut up! Don't talk!" Francis spat out a mouthful of air and slowly leaned in towards the wound, now he could only suck out the toxic blood first, the light system's healing magic didn't seem to work very well on this kind of toxin.
"Mmm!" As Francis' lips made contact with her own, Lantigriss instinctively let out a low hum, and she could clearly feel the temperature of Francis' lips being transmitted to her.
"Ugh!" Francis spat out the poisonous blood from his mouth and took a deep breath, leaning in again. Lantigriss closed her eyes directly, this was too embarrassing. If she had a choice, she would rather die than let Francis suck out the poison for her like this.
It wasn't until Francis had done it seven or eight times, and his mouth was filled with the sweet taste of blood, that he finally stopped. By then, the blood seeping from Lantigua's wound was no longer black, but red.
Francis cast several healing and purification spells on his own mouth, but as he sucked out the venom, he felt a slight numbness in his mouth.
"Purification spell!" Francis began treating Lantigriss's wound, and when the skin color around the wound became the same as the surrounding area, Francis cast a healing spell to treat her wound. Finally, Francis placed his hand on her forehead and released two recovery spells!
"How are you feeling? Any better?" Francis asked aloud, adjusting Lantigua's clothes in the process, which inevitably involved some contact.
"Hmm!" Lantigua Gris lowered her head and responded with a barely audible voice, now not only her face but also the roots of her ears were bright red.
"Little wizard! How's that, quite a thrill, isn't it?" Greta said from behind Francis.
Francis rubbed his nose and didn't speak. Although he hadn't thought much of it at the time, now that he looked back on it, the scenery was actually quite good.
Gracie's words made the scene a bit chilly, and neither Francis nor Lantie Gracie spoke. Lantie Gracie slowly got up from the ground, with not much venom in her body, and Francis' treatment was timely, so now she only had a slight numbness on her right shoulder, but nothing else.
"Tilly! Are you all right?" Greta walked up to Lantiegris and let her lean on her shoulder.
"Thank you, Francis!" Lantigua Gris bowed her head, without the courage to look at Francis.
"Ah! Nothing!" Francis waved his hand "If you want to go back now, I can escort you out!"
"It's nothing!" Lantigua Gris said with her head down. "Didn't you say there were no more bugs ahead? I also want to see what happened in this cave!"
"But Tiel! Your body!" Greta turned her head, looking at Lantiegrace with some concern.
"It's all right, I'm fine now and there aren't any bugs in the cave anymore!" Lantigress insisted.
"Here, take this!" Francis pulled a belt out of his ring and handed it to Lantigri.
"What is this?" Lantigraece took the belt from Francis's hand, looked at it, and saw that the overall color of the belt was blue with some white stripes on it, and in the middle there was a white magic stone. This belt was what Francis used before, but after his power increased, he didn't need to use this thing anymore.
"It's just one magical tool!" Francis said nonchalantly.
"This is... a Sacred Artifact." Garet wasn't like Lantille, who couldn't see the value of the belt; she could tell at a glance that this was a Sacred Artifact.
"What? The Sacred Artifact?" Lantigriss was slightly surprised, such a precious thing was taken out so casually for someone else to use. Even as a princess, she only had this one attacking Sacred Artifact on her, and this expensive defensive Sacred Artifact... She didn't know what she was thinking of, but Lantigriss's face turned red.
"Aren't you keeping it for yourself?" Lantigua Gris said emotionally, looking at the belt in her hand.
"Don't worry about me, I can take care of myself! On the other hand, if you still want to follow me, then bring this with you. The magic stone's power has been fully stored, and this is a passive defensive holy relic that you can use directly once you put it on!" Francis knew that Lantigri would absolutely not back down because of this matter and leave the cave. With this belt in hand, he could also feel more at ease!
"I...I understand!" Lantigua Gris did not decline, grasped the belt in her hand and tied it around herself.
"Let's go!" Francis cast a light spell, illuminating the path ahead, while Gretel carried Lantigra behind her.
As they walked further down, the cave became higher and wider. In no time, the entire cave was about 10 meters wide from left to right. Francis estimated that it was also around 5-6 meters high from top to bottom. What surprised Francis the most was the magical element beside him, which had been fluctuating strangely before, but now began to violently collide here.
"What's that?" Greta stopped in her tracks, "I think there's something very dangerous up ahead."
"Hmm!?" Francis halted his footsteps, the intuition of a beastman was usually accurate, and there was probably something very dangerous ahead. However, no matter how dangerous it was, the mission had to be completed. And wasn't it more... exciting? Francis clenched his fist, to be honest, a mage's battle was really not thrilling! Thinking this, Francis once again cast the illumination spell.
"Francis!" Lantigri cried, riding on Gret. Here was not like the front height is not enough, now riding on Gret can play out her true strength as a knight.
"What's wrong?"
"Gray says it's dangerous ahead! You'd better not go, trust me, Grayce's premonitions are always accurate!" Lantie Grayce didn't intend to let Francis continue forward, she also felt the unusual flutter of the elements around them.
"This won't do!" Francis didn't stop in his tracks "What I've decided, won't be changed by external forces, no matter how dangerous it is ahead! Got it...?"
"Tie er, let's go back! That guy is really ungrateful!"
Lantigua gritted her teeth, watching Francis's receding back "No, we're following him!"
"Tiel, you!" Greta looked at Lantigriest riding on her back with a bit of surprise, then turned to look at Francis, "Tiel, you wouldn't be..."
"Hmm!?" Francis stopped in his tracks, staring at everything before him in surprise. The magical elements surrounding him had formed a chaotic whirlwind that rustled the long robes on Francis's body.
"This is!?" Lantigua and Gretel's mouths were also wide open as they stared at the scene in front of them.
"Is this... divine magic?" Lantigri said in a daze.
"No!" Francis clutched at his hat which was about to be blown off. "It's just a space crevice!"
Yes, what appeared at the bottom of the cave was a black fissure over ten meters long. The fissure constantly swallowed or released magical elements, stirring up an elemental storm and whipping the surroundings into chaos.
"Space... rift?" Lantigri asked strangely.
"Hmm! The gap between the world we're in and another world... is right here!" Francis turned around, ready to leave this place, these bugs were running out from there! It seems that the deaths of the two executors also have a reason, so Ivanov has an explanation, and my task... Francis smiled slightly, not knowing how his task would be completed, but hoping that the terrible game would no longer torment him.
"How did you know?" Lantigua Gris looked at Francis, who was about the same age as herself, but no matter where he went, he seemed to know everything.
"Hmm! This kind of thing..." Francis hesitated, not wanting to say it out loud. You can just look it up online and know about this sort of thing!
"Let's go!" Francis pulled his hat down, the wind is really strong here! "Our mission is considered completed here, I don't plan to take a look at the crack! We also have an account with Bishop Ivanov, and the two white-robed deacons are likely passing by this mountain, attracted by the phenomenon in the mountain, and finally in this cave... Do you understand?"
"Hmm! I think so too!" Lantigua nodded, the two attendants were likely to have happened in this cave, thinking of that dense insect sea and those poisonous snakes... thinking of this, Lantigua touched her already healed wound.
"Alright then, you can go ahead and write the report on this mission!"
"Alright!" Lantigua Gris rode Greta towards Francis, intending to follow him out of the cave.
"Rustle, rustle, rustle——!" An unusual screeching sound came from the crack, interrupting Francis' footsteps.
"Is that it... through the fissure?" Francis turned around, looking at the fissure behind him. One by one, beetles squeezed out of the fissure, and at the entrance to the fissure, countless beetles were torn into pieces by the spatial storm. Francis estimated that on average, only one beetle in a hundred could survive inside the fissure.
"Let's go! Let's get out of here quickly!" Francis turned around, these insects are not worth fighting, it's better to leave early rather than waste magic.
"Are we going to wipe them out?" Lantigraece drew the sword from her ring, looking at Francis and saying: "I mean if they get away, the people down the mountain can't handle them!"
"Don't worry, didn't all those insects not come down the mountain before? Even if they ate up all the wild beasts on the mountain, they still didn't take a step out of this mountain!" Francis looked at the thousands of insects that had squeezed out of the crack "Hurry up and leave, or else when there are more insects, we'll be in trouble!"
"Alright! Let's hurry up and go, Gretel! Francis... are you coming with us?" Lantie asked in a low voice, her face flushing.
"It's no use, it's too slow!"
