Chapter 44. Hildas fashion sense sucks.

A couple hours later, Hilda wakes up, finding Shila and Jamine sitting beside her.

  “Hey… I have a few memories which I don't really remember committing.”

  “Oh my god… I didn't expect to be called a bitch either…”

“Hilda, she wasn't wrong at all.”

“Yea, I got it. I agree with her.”

  “Mom, is bitch a compliment?”

“Yea, your aunt suits the description more than I do.”

  “So aunt is a—”

“No I'm not, don't listen to your mom.”

“Hey, now that I think about it, didn't she call you sis before?”

“Yes, she calls me sis when we're alone but aunt when you're here.”

  “What?”

“Mom said to call you aunt before, so I call you aunt when she's here.”

“Your mom is a liar, I'm sis”

  “Then whose aunt?”

  “Ask your mom.”

  “Mom?”

“Aunt isn't here, wait a couple years.”

  “Why?”

  “She's busy.”

  “With?”

  “Jamine.”

  “Yes?”

  “Stop asking.”

  “Ok.”

  “So, sis?”

  “Yea?”

  “you're not a bit—”

  “Yep, I'm not, stop asking.”

Shila, what happened after I fainted.”

  “Oh, about that…”

  A couple hours ago.

The noble girl is slowly walking back to her mansion when she suddenly gains the ability to start running again.

  “Huh? What happened?”

“Screw it, just get the blueprint and go, I don't even know what's in it.”

She starts running back to her mansion, reaching quickly due to how close it was and going straight to the safe.

“your ladyship, slitider, what brings you to the marquess's room?”

“What does that matter with someone like you huh? Open the door and shut it.”

  “Very well your lady ship.”

After she walks in and slowly closes the door, she immediately starts panicking and runs to the safe, opening it up and taking the blueprint out.

As she turns around to leave, Shila suddenly appears behind her, her appearance censored to hide her identity.

“Why are you here? I'm taking the blueprint, you better keep your promise.”

Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author.

“Let me see it.” Shila says in a distorted voice, creeping Slitider out as she hands it over.

As Shila's eyes scan the blueprint, she smirks slightly.

“I suppose Hilda didn't do all this for nothing.” She mutters to herself, consuming Slitider as she tilts her head.

Shila memories it with ease with the help of the system before handing it back.

“Not a mention of this to anybody, you got it?”

“Sure, just don't blow everybody up like you agreed.”

Shila disappears, taking the bomb with her as she goes back to Hilda, placing the bomb back into her inventory back locked away.

  Back to the present.

  “Ah, so that's what happened.”

“Needless to say, she wasn't very happy with you Hilda.”

“Not surprised, but what was on the blueprint?”

  “A very powerful weapon.”

“Huh? Then why didn't you take it from them? What if they make it?”

“It requires a very powerful energy source, namely your orb.”

  “Can we make it?”

“Yes, if you know how to smelt, forge and have dozens of millions of points spare.”

  “Could have just said no.”

“So… that weird noble girl… Slitider, was it?”

  “Yea?”

“I can still control her right?”

  “I suppose.”

“So, could I sell her off as a slave?”

  “... I suppose so?”

Shila looks at Hilda with a look of disdain, making her raise her hands up, surrendering.

“I'm not gonna, it was just a question.”

“Couldn't I make her work for me though?”

  “Yea?”

“Alright, qs compensation for tormenting her, I'll make her my slave.”

  “That's compensation?”

“Well, I'm eventually gonna kill her father, so yes, that's compensation enough.”

  “...”

“Mom, what do we do now?”

  “The 24th floor, duh.”

“Nope, Hilda, you're not going to the 24th floor.”

  “Huh?”

“You were supposed to level up on the 23rd floor but you skipped it, so you'll get back to the 23rd floor and level up.”

“No way I'm fighting those things.”

“Just use the orb, the sight of it will scare them for a moment before they attack, use that small chance to kill them.”

  “Fine, I'll try it.”

Hilda reluctantly goes back to the 23rd floor, dozens of wyverns flocking to her immediately.

Achievement, First to kill a life form with a percentage of at least true dragon in its bloodline, stats are being increased.

“God, I really hate the achievement that's currently screwing me over.”

“Hilda, just get to work and kill them.”

  “Fineeee.”

As the wyverns land, Hilda pulls the orb out, immediately using mental attack magic on them, causing most of the lower leveled ones to screech in pain. As she watches, she uses conversion magic, causing some of the lower leveled ones with near to no mental magic resistance to start bleeding out.

“Ok, that's nice, but my mana just decreased severely.”

  “Not surprised.”

Jamine and Shila start using leech, pissing them off more than damaging them due to the level difference.

  “Hey Hilda…”

  “Yea?”

  “I miscalculated.”

  “Go to hell.”

Hilda starts running, letting the two of them get dragged along, attracting even more wyverns.

  “Fuck!!!”

Hilda keeps running, using sixth sense and spatial magic to barely dodge as they dive at her.

She keeps running, looking back at the many wyverns chasing her as she runs off to a location with just mainly rocks and pebbles, running for hours.

  “Shila, how much further?!”

  “Till?”

“Till I can blow the bomb up without damaging the forest!”

“Why do you care about that?”

  “Guide is gonna be pissed!”

“Another couple minutes of running and teleporting.”

Hilda keeps running as Shila takes the bomb out, holding it with her.

“Shila, this is gonna hurt, but it's gonna be much better than during, right?!”

“Nah, I'll just go back into the system, may God bless you.”

  “Traitor!”

  “Mom, I'm still here!”

“Yea but you don't feel pain!”

  “...”

Hilda grabs the bomb from Shila as she disappears back into the system, holding up the remote and waiting for the wyverns to get close enough before…

  Boom.

Achievement, survivor is in use. User is being healed to the minimum amount required.

As the explosion dies down, Hilda lies down there in pain as she reads the notification.

  “Fuck.”

  Level up X50.

  All stats +50

  Trait has been improved slightly.

  “Wow, better than expected.”

Shila reappears beside Hilda, kneeling down to look at her.

“You can thank the fact that you attracted over 100 wyverns, most of which were at least a couple hundred above your level.”

  “Nice.”

“Also, doing this gave you enough points to buy another bomb.”

“Nice, but my survivor achievement is on cool down anyways.”

“Hilda, don't you have bigger problems right now?”

“The injuries? Can't you just send me into the territory?”

“No, I can't, I don't know how to phrase this, so I'll use a game term.”

  “What?”

“You can't ‘combat log’ and right now you're about to die, so you gotta wait a couple of minutes.”

  “Ah…”

  “Also, you're naked.”

Hilda looks down at herself, finding that her clothes are completely gone.

“Oh, I should have expected that.”

Shila reappears from the system, having revived after dying as she hugs Hilda.

  “Mom, are you okay?”

  “Yea, but isn't it weird?”

  “What's weird?”

  “Hugging me naked.”

“So? What's wrong with being naked?”

  “Huh?”

“Hilda, Jamine's clothes are a part of her body, she's basically naked 24/7.”

“Oh. Jamine, don't show yourself naked in front of others, okay?”

“I don't get it, but I'll listen to you!”

  “Good girl.”

Hilda sits up, buying new clothes and wearing them.”

“Hilda, why are your new clothes the exact same as the old ones?”

“They aren't the same, they're a lot more comfortable.”

  “The appearance!”

  “I like it.”

  “Your sense of fashion sucks.”

  “None of your business.x

“It is my business! My clothes are the same as yours! Thank god I can choose not to update my clothes or I'd be naked too!”

  “Too bad.”

  “I hate you sometimes.”

  “Same.”
