This is the first publication by Ludwig Gosewitz, who studied graphic design in the 1950s before turning to art. In is early work Gosewitz used typographic forms as the basis of minimal abstract compositions, which recall contemporaneous works by Dieter Rot, who followed a similar trajectory from graphic design to art.
