The Council of the Lords

Chapter 28. The Council of the Lords

In the depths of the Realm of Darkness, in a hall of black obsidian, three dark figures gathered around a massive table carved from the bone of an ancient beast. The walls of the hall were draped with black banners, and in the corners, faint violet lights shimmered, casting sinister shadows.

First to speak was Kalios, majestic and mysterious. His voice rumbled like a distant storm:

  — The rift between the worlds is weakening. Soon, the boundaries will collapse, and we shall act.

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

Ovius, hot-tempered and impatient, slammed his fist onto the table:

  — We have waited too long! We must act now, before they find a way to stop us!

The third lord—the one even among the lords known as the craftiest—leaned forward, his eyes igniting with red fire.

  — Everything is proceeding according to plan, his voice was cold and calculating. — My puppet has delivered the necessary information. They remain unaware of our true design.

Kalios nodded, though caution flickered in his gaze.

  — The people of Light are not as foolish as you imagine. They are seeking answers. And if they find them before us…

  — They won’t have time, interrupted the third lord. — While they are lost in their books, we prepare. I have already dispatched my servants.

  Ovius smirked:

  — Then let the hunt begin.

The violet lights trembled, and the darkness in the hall grew denser, as if responding to the lords’ words. Thei

r plan was now in motion.
