Chapter 17: Troublesome Fated Woman…
(Celia’s POV)
Stealthily passing the maids and the woman, I entered Vanessa’s room. Inside was yet another maid, but this one was even stronger. I guess that she is Vanessa’s personal maid?
Vanessa: “Prim, you go on break.” She ordered.
Prim: “Very well, My Lady.” She said with a bow before leaving the room.
Walking over to one of her couches, the woman sat down, and then she continued to drink her tea. You know, I just realized, but almost all of the women that I’ve met… have all really liked tea. I wonder why?…
Vanessa: “No need to stay hidden. Just reveal yourself, I already know that you’re here.” She said after taking a sip of her tea.
Celia: “How’d you figure me out?” I ask with a curious tone, after sitting down on the couch opposite of her.
Vanessa: “You smell, or rather, the scent of your divinity, has a fragrance very similar to Sava and Faith. There are also some… other familiar smells on you as well.” She answered with a confident tone.
The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
Celia: “…”
Vanessa: “Do not worry, as I have blocked any of our words from being broadcast. This game isn’t strong enough to force me to do play it, and I do as I please to it as well.” She added with a reassuring tone.
To prove her power, Vanessa expressed some of it to me. I couldn’t check her Status, but I could tell that she was… probably close, if not more powerful, to Maralia in terms of her Status. How utterly terrifying!!!
Celia: “Vanessa, I came here because you are…” My words were cut off.
Vanessa: “I am not that woman’s fated spouse.” She interrupted.
Celia: “(~OAO)”
Vanessa: “Instead, I tricked that red string of fate, and led you to me.” She added with a smile.
Welp, this is bad… I mean, it is good for Ino, I guess? Vanessa was somewhat milfy, or at least a mature woman. She did look very youthful, but her personality isn’t a good match for Ino at all.
But that isn’t the main problem here… This woman had specifically guided me to her, and Faith even aided Vanessa in doing so. Speaking of which… girl, why are you so silent now!?
Vanessa: “What are you to Faith and Sava? Frankly, I find you very attractive, but I can tell that you’re married, have no interest in another wife. By the way, what is your name?” She asked with a calm tone.
Celia: “Celia is my name, and I heard yours already, Vanessa.” I answered.
Vanessa: “And your relation to them? Faith was pretty… crazy in her time, and that Will erased her. So I have no idea how someone as righteous as you would know her before Faith was killed.” She replied with a thinking pose.
Celia: “…”
Vanessa: “Rest assured, Celia. I can sense Maralia’s divinity on you, so it is a safe bet that you’re married to her. I never attempt or wish to taint our relationship, so you do not have to worry about me bring you any harm.” She said with a coaxing tone.
Celia: “W-what… how do you know Maralia?” I ask with great curiosity.
Vanessa: “I’m her mother.” She answered with a bright smile.
Celia: “( o_o)”
