Volume 7. Chapter 18: Her Reveal. (Chapter 619.)

  Chapter 18: Her Reveal.

  (Celia’s POV)

Vanessa didn’t walk back this statement of hers, and even though I cannot sense if she is telling the truth or not via magic and my race, I am decently certain that she was fully saying the truth. Does that make her my mother-in-law!?

Celia: “Should I call you “Mother” from now on, then?” I jokingly reply.

Vanessa: “Are you truly dating her? She was never one for more than a one-night stand, but her divinity is too strong on you…” She replied with a raised eyebrow.

Celia: “She is my wife, yes.” I clarified with a smile.

Vanessa: “I see, I see…” She replied with a long sigh.

Celia: “Do you not agree with us being together?” I ask with a hurt tone.

I could sense her displeasure with me actually being Maralia’s wife… Though confused, I would still like to understand why she isn’t happy with this situation.

Vanessa: “Ah, I am fine with you two being together, don’t worry about that.” She quickly replied.

Celia: “Oh… then why are you upset?” I ask with a curious tone.

Vanessa: “I am… just sad that, though she found a good wife, said wife will not live long.” She answered with a sad tone.

  Celia: “…”

Not… live long? What does she mean? Vanessa wasn’t… threatening me at all. If not a threat, then… am I really going to die? Is that… itching feeling, the one that urges me to check out my soul, just the realization that I will be dying?…

Vanessa: “This was a secret, and you didn’t know about your short life… Maralia, for the first time in millions of years, personally contacted me.” She said with a serious and remorseful tone, getting up from her seat.

  Celia: “…”

Vanessa: “There is no solution for this, Celia. At least, no good one. And for now, you have plenty of time for a solution to be found.” She added, walking over to me.

Celia: “I…” My sentence failed to come out.

Vanessa: “I see it now… your soul is being even more stained, all from just knowing that you’ll die. Yes, their method, while cruel, is the best for now. Celia, forgive me for being careless… I shall erase your memories of this specific topic.” She said, placing her hand on my head.

Something was deeply wrong with me… That nagging feeling was correct, but, I… well, I want to run from it. Just like I do for all of my personal problems. And what’s more, they were giving me an out again. To not even remember what Vanessa leaked to me…

Faith: “I didn’t expect for her to look so deep into your soul… Celia, this is your family’s fault, and not something that you should worry over.” She said with a serious tone.

  Celia: “…”

Faith: “Just let her erase your memory of this, I swear that we will find a way to save you. And don’t be sad! You easily have more than 5,000 years left to live.” She said with a coaxing tone.

Celia: “I refuse to let any of you sacrifice yourselves to save me, let that be known to all of them.” I say with a loving, but extremely serious tone.

  Faith: “…”
