“The Konoha Ninja Academy Summer Camp of the 51st year, uhe meticulous guidance of Principal Gojo, and through the diligent efforts of our instructors and students, has successfully cluded!”
“We have achieved oals of safety, cultural exge, excellence, and f the Will of Fire. Now, as the Summer Camp draws to a close, I, on behalf of the Academy, express my deepest gratitude to all participating students and staff! And my warmest gratutions to the students who achieved top rankings!”
Iruka Umino, holding his speech manuscript, droned on from the makeshift podium in the Konoha Forest, his words barely reag the exhausted academy students below.
The Summer Camp had been incredibly demanding.
Perhaps even more so than the Academy graduation exams. Only prodigies like Itachi Uchiha still seemed retively ued.
Even Izumi Uchiha looked exhausted, her perseverance fueled solely by the Will of Fire.
“Now, let us wele Konoha’s legendary Principal, Gojo Kaigetsu, to deliver the closing address!”
Gojo Kaigetsu!
Cheers erupted from the students, their exhaustion momentarily fotten as they straightened up, their voices filled with excitement.
Even the usually boisterous “school bullies” were silent, their gazes fixed expetly on the blindfolded figure approag the podium.
Gojo Kaigetsu’s Ethics css had undeniably been a success.
Loyalty indoation should start from a young age!
These “child soldiers” had been thhly instilled with devotion to the Will of Fire and, more importantly, to Advisojo.
The rarely seen Gojo Kaigetsu was a legend in their eyes, the man who had decred, “Konoha is the most exceptional vilge, and Konoha ninja the most outstanding.” Suspiring words!
They were witnessing history! They were creating stories to tell!
From now on, they could brag about having personally witnessed Advisojo’s speech.
Excitement spread like wildfire.
This recisely Gojo Kaigetsu’s goal. Konoha’s collective mi was shifting.
It wasn’t his speeches or pronous that were inspiring, but Konoha itself.
The vilgers of Konoha, having ehe humiliation of two wars, k and pleaded, “Please, give us Soldier Pills!”
Gojo Kaigetsu, arms raised, decred, “Let’s go take them!”
In such a climate, anyone in Konoha who desired Soldier Pills would follow him. Any speech, aion, as long as it aligned with this proactive, assertive stance, would be met with fervent support.
Gojo Kaigetsu asded the podium, holding a bnk sheet of paper. He preteo read from it before handing it to Iruka Umino.
It was a subtle dispy, setting the tone for his unique speaking style.
“First, gratutions to all the students who passed the trials. You are destined freatness! And for those who fell short, don’t be disced. With enough effort, even te bloomers achieve great things!”
“I’ve heard… some have suggested different assessment criteria for those with and without Kekkei Genkai.”
“Let me be clear. In the ninja world, there are only two outes: persevere and excel, ive up and be elimihat’s the harsh reality. No one will lower their standards for you just because you ck a Kekkei Genkai. Even if the Academy did, would those Kumogakure ninja, who stantly threaten Konoha, offer such leniency?”
“You pin about not having a parent with a bloodline limit. One day, your children will resent your weakness!”
Many students lowered their heads in shame.
If an instructor had said those words, they might have scoffed. After all, he was just a in.
But this was Advisojo. Though also a in, he held a position of authority, a figure they genuinely admired. His words carried weight.
If Gojo Kaigetsu’s official rank were higher or lower, his words might not have resonated so deeply.
People only knew him as an ordinary in, unaware of his… advantages, much like how people might dismiss someone as “ordinary” or “self-made” without knowing the extent of their hidden power and influence.
Gojo Kaigetsu’s public image in Konoha was impeccable. His words were ving.
“There are two things no one take from you: the dreams in your heart and your faith in the Will of Fire!” he tinued. “What is the Will of Fire? I ask you, what is the Will of Fire?!”
“To me, the Will of Fire is friendship! It is the bonds between rades! It is the unwavering resolve to protect Konoha! It is absolute trust in the Hokage!”
“The pany you keep shapes your path. The people you surround yourself with influence your ninja way. Gamblers urge you to gamble; drinkers, to drink. But your friends at the Academy inspire you to strive freatness, to push the limits of your ninja way!”
“Like Uchiha Itachi, who achieved top marks in the Summer Camp trials. Befriend him! Learn from him! Let him be your inspiration!”
“Never let your temper exceed your abilities. True maturity es when your impulsiveness yields to your dedication to the ninja way!”
“This… is the Will of Fire! A noble ideal!”
“There aren’t many naturally gifted ninja in this world. True strength es from overing adversity. Remember, perseverance is what sets you apart. True dedication to a single purpose. Time will reward your efforts. You will be reized.”
“You leave your talent to fate, your as to the future, your prospects to destiny, and then tell yourself, ‘I’ve heard tless wise words, but I’m still not a great ninja.’ That’s… perfectly normal.”
“At six, seve, you dare to dream, to act, to train tirelessly. That’s what earns you a fortable life at twenty, a life of grad ease at thirty. Every step you take now ys the foundation for your future. There are no wasted efforts on the ninja path, no pain without reward!”
“Three things often lead a ninja astray: One, a ck of knowledge. Books are the path to wisdom. They allow you to see yourself, to uand others, to envisioure. I ask you, did you truly uand Three Years at the Ninja Academy?
“Two, a ck of social iion. The more you isote yourselves, the mnorant you bee. Eventually, you lose the fideo i with exceptional ninja.”
“Three, insuffit loyalty to the Will of Fire. Only when you push your training to the absolute limit do you uand what allows you to trahose limits—your unwavering faith in the Will of Fire! So, read more! Socialize more! Be more loyal!”
Gojo Kaigetsu’s speech, filled with refereo the Will of Fire and unwavering loyalty, might have been lost on seasoned ninja, jaded by the realities of life.
The Will of Fire couldn’t buy them food or drink. They only cared about missions from the Hokage Tower, about whether they could afford ara trip to the foot massage parlor.
But these academy students… they were different.
Their hearts were filled with passion, their minds as pure as a bnk ste. And Gojo Kaigetsu was the one writing on that ste, filling it with the fiery red ink of the Will of Fire, his own unique version.
Of course, all of this redicated on the assumption that Konoha truly was the most exceptional, civilized, and powerful vilge.
Otherwise, when these students ventured into the wider ninja world, they’d return to Konoha, demanding answers. “Advisojo, the world outside isn’t what you described!”
But for now, Gojo Kaigetsu’s words rang true. And the results were undeniable.
Advisojo’s will had transded the limitations of natural talent.
Passion surged through the students.
Itachi Uchiha, his eyes filled with tears, was already a true believer.
As for the others… their faces flushed with excitement.
Seeing that the time was right, Gojo Kaigetsu decided to… elevate the message.
“A strong youth makes a strong vilge. Indepe youth, an indepe vilge. Free youth, a free vilge. Progressive youth, a progressive vilge. If our youth surpass those of Kumogakure and Iwagakure, our vilge will surpass them. If our youth are unmatched in the ninja world, our vilge will domihe ninja world.”
“Show me! Are you a thousand failures or a thousand embodiments of the Will of Fire?!”
“Yeah!”
For the first time, no prompting was hunderous appuse and cheers erupted from the students.
The “school bullies” jumped to their feet, initially raising their right arms at a forty-five-degree angle before correg themselves, pg their fists over their hearts.
“(Shinzō wo Sasageyo!) We dedicate our hearts to Konoha!”
“(Shinzō wo Sasageyo!) We dedicate our hearts to the Will of Fire!”
“(Shinzō wo Sasageyo!) We dedicate our hearts to Advisojo!”
Led by these… enthusiastic youngsters, the ts grew louder and more uhey might not be devout followers of the Will of Fire, but they were certainly fans of Gojo Kaigetsu.
The other students skipped the first two ts, joining in o: “We dedicate our hearts to Advisojo!”
Gojo Kaigetsu smiled at the first two ts, but his expression turned serious at the st.
It was as if the Sage of Six Paths himself had pced a ceremonial robe on his shoulders. “Don’t… don’t make me regret this.”
He waved his hand dismissively, leaving the students to their… fervor. He then headed for the Konoha Times’ temporary office.
“Advisojo!” The reporters stood and bowed respectfully.
“Are the articles ready?”
“For your review, sir.” Gin respectfully presehe drafts.
[At the Summer Camp’s closing ceremony, Konoha Advisojo Kaigetsu delivered a speech. He asked the students, ‘Is the forest beautiful?’ Hundreds of voices roared, ‘Yes!’ ‘Is the sky blue?’ ‘Blue!’ ‘Will you return?’ ‘Yes!’ ‘Will you dedicate your hearts to the vilge?’ ‘Loyal!’ These shouts shook the Suna exge students to their core…]
Was that how it happened?
Gojo Kaigetsu g the students, notig even Temari, the Suna princess, was among the cheering crowd, her face flushed, her fist raised.
He felt a twinge of unease. Had he iently turemari into a pro-Konoha radical? The Fourth Kazekage would have his head!
Damaging Konoha-Suions was strictly forbidden!
‘I’ll have Izumi give Temari a… pro-Sualk ter.’
He hahe draft back to Gin, his tone approving. “Excellent work. Follow this approach. bihe best parts of everyone’s articles. And be quick.”
Konoha Journalism 101: If it seems iing, write it doublish it. Let the readers decide. Big news? Ig. Small news? Exaggerate it. Anything beneficial to Konoha, praise it. Anythirimental, ig.
Before Konoha’s cultural dominance, Gojo Kaigetsu had handled everything personally. But now? That would be a waste of his elevated status.
He’d delegated his skills, nurturing a team of talented individuals, ensuring they could thrive in this turbulent ninja world.
“Advisojo, we’ve already fihe main article. Just awaiting your review,” Gin said with a grin, handing over the pleted piece.
“The Konoha-Suna Student Summer Camp Games” by Anonymous
[August, 51st year of Konoha. Twenty Suna exge students arrived at the Konoha Ninja Academy to participate in a Summer Camp held in the Konoha Forest alongside hundreds of Konoha students.]
[I am a citizen of the Land of Lightning, currently dug business in Konoha. My social circle is small, hehe anonymity. I witnessed an ii and recorded it for posterity. I am an unbiased observer with no personal stake in this matter. If any offense is caused, please tact me for removal.]
Suna students’ shuriken missed their targets repeatedly, while Konoha students’ accuracy was met with thunderous appuse.
This occurred during a shurikenjutsu assessment at the Konoha Ninja Academy. By the time I arrived, the event was already underway… From small details, one see the rger picture. Setting aside the adult ninja, shurikenjutsu is a fual skill. The Suna students’ performance raises s about the quality of their training.
Furthermore, I believe all academy students should cultivate this mi: If you ’t modify a shuriken’s ter of gravity, atta explosive tag. Even if it meaonating all your ninja tools, never leave them for the eo use.
In the legendary Konoha Forest, Konoha and Suna students, each carrying a 30kg pack, embarked on an endurance march. Their ages ranged from five to ten. Acc to the Summer Camp guidelihey were to plete ten ps around Konoha. Konoha students were inally expected to plete twenty, but the requirement was reduced for the Suna students.
As the Suna students struggled, their imported backpacks’ straps began to tear. The faulty equipment, purchased through the Konoha-Suna Trade Route, provided a ve excuse for them to sck off.
They eagerly transferred their packs onto a passing Konoha in, rubbing their sore shoulders and ughing amongst themselves.
One Suna girl, however, had a Konoha-made backpack. Its sturdy straps offered no such excuse. A Konoha Uchiha student, seeiruggle, offered to carry her paot only did he appear energized, but he even tried to cheer her up. They chatted and ughed, falling behind the main group.
Despite the reduced requirement, some Suna students still fell ill, shivering and g before the instructors. They were sent back to the camp, where they rested on fortable cots, sipping Konoha’s fi milk tea.
Konoha students also faced difficulties. Uchiha Itachi, for example, seemed to be suffering from eye strain. His face ale, tears streaming down his face.
The instructed him to rest, to return to camp, but he refused. “I’m here to traireating is shameful! I ehis. I must persevere!” Only after much persuasion did he finally lie down, gasping for breath. But moments ter, he rose and tihe march.
That afternoon, rain and wind made the forest even more treacherous, each step sinking into mud.
At 7 PM, they finally pleted the ten ps. The students set up camp, preparing for a night of outdoor cooking.
The Konoha students built a fire, stir-fried cucumbers, sausages, and bell peppers, and prepared rice pe. They first offered the food to the instructors before eating themselves.
The Suna students, however, had assumed their meals would be provided. But that was a mere fantasy. Otlefield, no one would cater to your needs. If you didn’t bring your own rations, you starved.
Some of the hungry Suna students pio the instructors, but to no avail.
Konoha students’ cheers echoed through the forest.
After two days orous training, the Konoha and Suna students gathered for the closing ceremony.
Konoha Elder and Hokage Advisojo Kaigetsu addressed the students. He asked, “Is the forest beautiful?”
Hundreds of Konoha students roared, “Yes!” “Is the sky blue?” “Blue!” “Will you return?” “Yes!”
These shouts shook the Suna students to their core.
Such passion! This is Konoha’s education! This is the Will of Fire! Tears of pride and loyalty shimmered in the Konoha students’ eyes. Behind them stood not just their parents, but the entire vilge of Konoha.
As a citizen of the ninja world, I hold no allegiao any single vilge or nation. My heart belongs to the entire ninja world. The Suna exge students’ performance, however, has left me with serious doubts.
The Summer Camp cluded. The Konoha students departed, their faces filled with smiles. The Suna students, however, carried a heavy burden of ption.
On the way back, we entered a mert’s cart stu the mud. Many Konoha students rushed to help, even local vilgers joined in. But a Suna “student leader” seemed to view them as mere puppets, a habit perhaps ingrained from Sunagakure’s puppet mastery traditions.
He stood aside, shouting encement, aced to direg and maniputing others.
In our Konoha forest, the students carefully collected their trash in pstic bags. They even marked a spot where they found bird eggs to prevent others from stepping on them.
The Suna students, however, did nothing… Perhaps because the Konoha students had already taken the initiative, but as ninja, shouldn’t they always strive to be proactive?
The Suna exge students o cultivate a stronger sense of responsibility.
This short Summer Camp exposed numerous weaknesses among the Suna students, raising s about their trainihods and objectives.
First, for students of the same age, what kind of ninja should we be nurturiy boasts and a focus solely on jutsu are not enough. Every vilge trains its youth. Konoha emphasizes independence, kindness, and ninjutsu prowess.
What about Sunagakure? They seem to prioritize only strength, ing individual initiative. From the Suna students, all I see are “puppeteers.” Aced to maniputing others, they’ve fotten to cultivate their own strength. This is the puppeteer’s weakness, perhaps also Sunagakure’s.
Indeed, all those ed about Sunagakure’s future should refle the implications of this.
After the Summer Camp, the Konoha students remarked, “I never realized how vast Konoha and its forest truly are. Before, it was just a description in a textbook.”
The Suna students, however, showed little i, eager to return to their training.
Setting aside their student status, as aspiring ninja, shouldn’t they have used this opportunity to observe and learn from Konoha?
I believe the Suna students are not ily weaker than Konoha’s. However, Sunagakure’s fwed educational system is stifling their potential. Almost every parent in Suna tells their children, “As long as you master ninjutsu, nothing else matters.” This widely held belief exposes a critical fw in their approach.
Education is an act of love, but love both nurture aroy.
Konoha’s educational system, tered around the Will of Fire, teaches childrerue meaning of love! A truly remarkable approach.
Sunagakure’s “love,” however, is different.
Many Suna parents are iently setting their children up for failure, their efforts undermining their own goals. Their froach is accelerating Sunagakure’s dee.
The core of education isn’t just about knowledge; it’s about character, about uanding love and camaraderie.
Therefore, education is about liberation, not fi. A civilized, modern vilge, even at great cost, must liberate its students. And to liberate them, they must first uand the Will of Fire. The key lies in the leadership’s ability to inspire the masses.
Gojo Kaigetsu, holding the manuscript, felt a shiver run down his spine. “Damn,” he muttered, impressed.
The same formu, the same… pu aroma.
This was the “Konoha-Suna Summer Camp Games” article he’d envisioned.
Starting with a decration of impartiality and ending with a discimer of no personal stake. Every sentence seemingly fwed, yet perfectly structed.
The shuriken missing their targets, readers would only see inpetenot the deliberate modification. The “imported” backpacks… ion that they were specifically crafted in another vilge.
Taking things out of text, twisting facts, presenting a biased perspective—masterfully done.
Even adding the “Land of Lightning citizen” discimer to deflect bme.
Gojo Kaigetsu could already imagihe fallout.
Sunagakure’s already precarious standing would crumble. They might even earn a derogatory niame.
They’d frantically search for this ent Land of Lightning citizen, perhaps even jeopardizing their newly formed alliah Kumogakure.
You call me “brother,” and then stab me in the back?
These were just the external repercussions. Internally…
Perhaps Sunagakure’s leadership would clude that their students were too weak, leading to even more brutal training regimes.
Then, Konoha would offer a sed exge program, saving the Suna students from their harsh training… and their loyalty might shift.
“Gin, you’re a true genius! A master of… well, let’s just say you’re exceptionally talented.”
Gin, the reporter, blushed at the praise. “I merely applied what you taught me, Advisojo. Without yuidance, I wouldn’t have knowo begin.”
“It’s good, but not perfect.” Gojo Kaigetsu took the manuscript and added a few lines:
[I overheard a Konoha elder, who wished to remain anonymous, ent on the Summer Camp: Sunagakure’s educational system is fually fwed. They should send more students to Konoha for long-term, specialized training, both in ninjutsu and… character development. Konoha, itted to peace, has showolerand generosity towards the Suna students. I call this the ‘Mission of Fire,’ a way for Sunagakure to learn from Konoha’s Will of Fire and bring it back to their… culturally barren vilge.]
[I dared to ask this elder, ‘Has Sunagakure lost its spirit?’ He replied, ‘On the trary, this is their first step towards esg their cultural and material desert. A vilge with such resolve shouldn't be mocked.’]
[‘However, this sed phase of learning won’t be free. The cost of materials and instructors is signifit. It all depends on Sunagakure’s leadership.’]
“Much better.” Gojo Kaigetsu nodded in satisfa.
The first trip to Konoha, free, but a disheartening experiehe sed trip, paid, a ce at redemption.
Sunagakure, pooling its resources, sending its most promising students to Konoha to learn from Advisojo… This time, it wouldn’t be a free-for-all. He’d personally issue “Green Cards.”
And for those unwilling to pay… they could trade. Sunagakure’s advanced puppetry teiques in exge for the secrets of the Will of Fire.
A fair trade.
“But this article… it’s a bit too pointed for Iki. If Sunagakure bans it… that would be a loss.” Iki was a crucial po of his pn, the vanguard of his invasion of the Freat Nations. It couldn't be promised.
It had always maintained a ral, objective tone, showg Konoha’s advas, not directly critig other vilges.
Publishing this article in Iki would be like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.
“I’ll create a new publiy firepreneurial venture!”
“I’ll call it… The Forest Reader.”
He hahe manuscript to Gin. “Take this to the Land of Hot Water. There’s a branch of the High Academy Publishing House there. Tell the ma’s from me.”
“Me? To the Land of Hot Water? Why?” Gin asked, his eyes gleaming with curiosity.
Gojo Kaigetsu, in a good mood, expined, “During the Kirigakure operation, both Konoha and Kumogakure established bases there. Later, Kumogakure ied heavily in infrastructure projects, which were vely handled by my… associates. The publishing house there is also under my… supervision.”
“A publishing house in the Land of Hot Water… it’s easy to assume it’s backed by Kumogakure.” He inteo pin this on Kumogakure.
“Uood! I’ll ha.”
